Has anyone heard anything about RBI Baseball 14?

Well MLB The Show is good EVERY year ... since like 09 .. and I'm sure if it was on Xbox and PS instead of just PS the sales numbers would look much more exciting. After all, baseball IS the 2nd most popular sport in Murica.

Baseball video games aren't made for people who are looking to buy a new game just for the hell of it, or to just get achievements. If you don't follow baseball or you don't play the sport, I'm 99% sure you won't enjoy playing a baseball video game. You
can't just pick it up and play, which is what most "gamers" do. So if you're commenting saying you hate baseball or that it's boring, you are the minority. Baseball is the 2nd most popular sport in America.

Cricket is the world's number two sport....where is the love? Basketball is world number three. Baseball is world number eight. After all, it's not only about America....

 

I always hear Baseball is the number 1 American past time, so I guess it is a little strange there isn't a yearly release along with soccer and basketball.

I hate sports games though, so don't pay too much attention.

Would EA filter out baseball games like they do with every other U.S Sport?

 

Normally, people play video games to sort of escape reality. It's the same reason people watch movies. I should also point out that playing any video game, including sports games is not "actual real life".

 

@SpiiT you prove my point so good there is really no point in replying, besides to "school" you. 500K of a game sold does not translate to popular or profitable. You mention 500K sold w/ 126K in the first week for MLB2K13. Those numbers are terrible.(See
Tomb Raider for a better explaniation of my point) Good for MLB/MLBPAbut terrible in terms of another company shelling out money to produce a game for.

Do you honestly believe that Gears of War, Uncharted, Halo and God of War got sequels because of 500K copies sold? No tgey got sequels because those games moved millions of units. 500K out of 80 million is small peanuts and just proves the point everyone
makes saying Baseball games are not profitable.

Stop looking through your rose tinted glasses and be real. Baseball is slow, tedious, and mind-numbingly boring. And to play a Baseball game with the same traits/characteristics doesn't sound appealing in the slightest. And all of this is coming from a huge
Orioles fan, who understands what profits/value means. Begging for a AAA baseball game that represents a guaranteed loss, is just wanting to appease yourself. If I am wrong in my thinking then please explain why Basketball nor Football(NFL) nor Soccer have
their yearly games cancelled/rights not purchased by a big AAA publisher.
