American Xbox One in South Korea

I recently brought my American Xbox One (original) with me to South Korea. Of course, the power cord is American style, and South Korea uses a different voltage than America does. Is it safe to just put a plug adapter on the power cord and plug it into
the wall? Or do I need more drastic measures?

As the others already suggested, you'd have to buy a power supply suitable for 220V.

Alternatively, you could get a
voltage converter. But make sure that this power converter can sustain at least 200 Watts of load, as the Xbox One can draw over 170 Watts. If you want to make sure, get a 300 Watts voltage converter.

That would really depend on the console that you have. South Korea uses the 220v system.
If you have an Xbox one S, you would be fine since the S is multi-voltage.
If it is the original Xbox one, you would need to get 220-240 power adapter.

If it is original Xbox One you need to buy a power brick from your country. For Xbox One S and X, it should be fine.

You need to change your transformer that plugs into your Xbox. You don't mess around with voltage differences, especially when South Korean wall voltage is double that of the USA.

You would have to buy a new power supply from Microsoft in South Korea. Either through their city store or through a Microsoft part repair/replace.
