This portion of the guide is written for the older version of Ubee firmware that is more commonly found on these devices. This firmware tends to have the Ubee logo featured in the center on the top of the screen.

How to Find SSID(Network Name)

Open a web browser.

Enter http://192.168.0.1 in the address bar.

Select login from the side menu.

Enter the username and password. (user/user)

Click "Wireless" across the top.

On the left had side click "Primary Network".

The SSID is on this page labeled Network Name (SSID).

How To Find Wireless Passphrase (WPA/WEP)

Open a web browser.

Enter http://192.168.0.1 in the address bar.

Select login from the side menu.

Enter the username and password. (user/user)

Select Wireless from the menu at the top.

Select Primary Network from the menu on the left.

Select the check box that says show characters.

Verify the password displayed.

Changing Wireless Security Type/ Disabling Wireless Security

Open a web browser.

Enter http://192.168.0.1 in the address bar.

Select login from the side menu.

Enter the username and password. (user/user)

Select Wireless from the menu at the top.

Select Primary Network from the menu on the left.

Enable the desired security type. (WPA-PSK, WPA2-PSK)

To turn off the security select Disable for all the security types.

How to Change Wireless Mode

Open a web browser.

Enter http://192.168.0.1 in the address bar.

Select login from the side menu.

Enter the username and password. (user/user)

Select Wireless from the menu at the top.

Select Radio from the menu on the left.

Select G-Only mode from 802.11 n-Mode drop down menu.

Select Apply.

How to Change Wireless Band (Width)

Open a web browser.

Enter http://192.168.0.1 in the address bar.

Select login from the side menu.

Enter the username and password. (user/user)

Select Wireless from the menu at the top.

Select Radio from the menu on the left.

Select 20 Mhz from the Bandwidth drop down.

Select Apply.

How to Change Wireless Channel

Open a web browser.

Enter http://192.168.0.1 in the address bar.

Select login from the side menu.

Enter the username and password. (user/user)

Select Wireless from the menu at the top.

Select Radio from the menu on the left.

From the Control Channel drop down select the desired wireless channel. (Channels 1,3,9,11)

Select Apply.

DMZ

Open a web browser.

Enter http://192.168.0.1 in the address bar.

Select login from the side menu.

Enter the username and password. (user/user)

Select Gateway from the menu across the top.

Select DMZ Host from the menu on the left.

Enter IP address of the Xbox in the DMZ address box.

Select Apply.

Disable DMZ

Open a web browser.

Enter http://192.168.0.1 in the address bar.

Select login from the side menu.

Enter the username and password. (user/user)

Select Gateway from the menu across the top.

Select DMZ Host from the menu on the left.

Enter a 0 in the DMZ address box. (if 0 is not allowed use 1)

Select Apply.

DHCP Reservation

(Note: You MUST force release of the IP address on the DHCP page First)

Open a web browser.

Enter http://192.168.0.1 in the address bar.

Select login from the side menu.

Enter the username and password. (user/user)

Select Gateway from the menu at the top.

Select "Gateway" across the top.

Select "Static Lease" on the left.

Enter in the Mac and IP addresses for the Xbox.

Select the Enable Check box to the right.

Select Apply.

Port Forwarding

Open a web browser.

Enter http://192.168.0.1 in the address bar.

Select login from the side menu.

Enter the username and password. (user/user)

Select Gateway from the menu across the top.

Select Port Forwarding from the menu on the left.

Enter IP address of the Xbox.

Enter the internal Port Number 3074.

Enter the Ext. Start Port Number 3074.

Enter the Ext. End Port Number 3074.

Set the protocol to both.

Select Apply.

Disable Port Forwarding

Open a web browser.

Enter http://192.168.0.1 in the address bar.

Select login from the side menu.

Enter the username and password. (user/user)

Select Gateway from the menu across the top.

Select Port Forwarding from the menu on the left.

Uncheck the Enable box of the ports you want to remove.

Select Apply.

Firewall

Open a web browser.

Enter http://192.168.0.1 in the address bar.

Select login from the side menu.

Enter the username and password. (user/user)

From the menu across the top select Firewall.

Select Content Filter from the menu on the left.

Un-check IP-Flood detection and Firewall Protection.

Select Apply.

Restore Defaults

Through firmware

Open a web browser.

Enter http://192.168.0.1 in the address bar.

Select login from the side menu.

Enter the username and password. (user/user)

Select Tools from the menu at the top.

Select Yes for both Restore Defaults and Reset The System.

Select Apply.

Through Hardware

Locate the reset button on the back of the device (it is labeled "Reset").

Hold the reset button for 30 seconds.

UPnP

Open a web browser.

Enter http://192.168.0.1 in the address bar.

Select login from the side menu.

Enter the username and password. (user/user)

Select Gateway from the top menu.

Select Options under the advanced section of the menu on the left.

Toggle the UPnP option and select apply.

Updating Firmware

How to Find Firmware Version

Open a web browser.

Before logging in the firmware version is located here labeled Software Version.

Bridging Guide

Open a web browser.

Enter http://192.168.0.1 in the address bar.

Select login from the side menu.

Enter the username and password. (user/user)

Enter http://192.168.0.1/TlModeChange.asp

Change the mode to Bridge Mode.

Click the Apply button.

MAC Filtering

Open a web browser.

Enter http://192.168.0.1 in the address bar.

Select login from the side menu.

Enter the username and password. (user/user)

Click "Gateway" across the top.

On the left had side click "MAC Filtering".

If the Xbox is on this list put a check in the Clear box and select Apply.

Known Issues

This device's firewall settings can cause many online gaming issues with either Xbox model. If you are experiencing online multiplayer issues we recommend disabling IP Flood detection and Firewall Protection in the Firewall section.

Are you experiencing a live connection error with this device right after setting it up for the first time? We’ve found a long power cycle (unplug the device for 5 minutes then reconnect) or a DMZ setup for your Xbox tends to resolve the issue more
often than not.

WPA-PSK 2 passphrases can cause issues with the Xbox One. If you are having trouble connecting wirelessly and you have a WPA2 passkey try switching it to WPA.

This guide is meant for the newer firmware version for this device where the Ubee logo is featured more in the top left of the main screen.

How to Change Wireless Channel

Open a web browser.

Enter http://192.168.100.1 in the address bar.

When prompted enter user for the username and user for the password.

Select Wireless from the menu at the top.

Select Radio from the menu on the left.

From the Control Channel drop down select the desired wireless channel. (Channels 1,3,9,11) The device should be able to tell you if there is interference on the particular channel you select so try to select a channel where the level is acceptable
as listed by the device.

Select Apply.

DMZ

Open a web browser.

Enter http://192.168.100.1 in the address bar.

When prompted enter user for the username and user for the password.

Select Advanced from the menu across the top.

Select DMZ Host from the menu on the left.

Enter IP address of the Xbox in the DMZ address box.

Select Apply.

Disable DMZ

Open a web browser.

Enter http://192.168.100.1 in the address bar.

When prompted enter user for the username and user for the password.

Select Advanced from the menu across the top.

Select DMZ Host from the menu on the left.

Enter a 0 in the DMZ address box. (if 0 is not allowed use 1)

Select Apply.

DHCP Reservation

Open a web browser.

Enter http://192.168.100.1 in the address bar.

When prompted enter user for the username and user for the password.

Select Basic from the menu at the top.

Select DHCP on the left.

Find your Xbox on the list labeled DHCP Clients and select the select button

This should reserve the current private IP address for your Xbox.

Port Forwarding

Open a web browser.

Enter http://192.168.100.1 in the address bar.

When prompted enter user for the username and user for the password.

Select Advanced from the menu across the top.

Select Forwarding from the menu on the left.

Select Create IPv4

Enter IP address of the Xbox.

For all areas asking for a start port or an end port enter 3074

Set the protocol to both.

Select Save.

Disable Port Forwarding

Open a web browser.

Enter http://192.168.100.1 in the address bar.

When prompted enter user for the username and user for the password.

Select Advanced from the menu across the top.

Select Forwarding from the menu on the left.

Uncheck the Enable box of the ports you want to remove. Or select Remove all.

Select Save.

Firewall

Open a web browser.

Enter http://192.168.100.1 in the address bar.

When prompted enter user for the username and user for the password.

From the menu across the top select Firewall.

Select Basic from the menu on the left.

Set IPv4 Firewall Protection to Low

Check the Optimize for XBOX box.

Select Apply.

Restore Defaults

Through firmware

The firmware walkthrough for restoring factory defaults only removes user changes to the firewall settings and parental control settings. It is advised you do so via the hardware method.

Through Hardware

Locate the reset button on the back of the device (it is labeled "Reset").

Hold the reset button for 30 seconds.

UPnP

Open a web browser.

Enter http://192.168.100.1 in the address bar.

When prompted enter user for the username and user for the password.

Select Advanced from the top menu.

Select Options from the menu on the left.

Check or uncheck the UPnP option and select apply.

Updating Firmware

*Firmware updates are installed automatically by the Internet Service Provider.*

MAC Filtering

Open a web browser.

Enter http://192.168.100.1 in the address bar.

When prompted enter user for the username and user for the password.

Click Advanced across the top.

On the left hand side select MAC Filtering

If the Xbox is on this list select it and then select remove MAC Address.

Multiple Console Support

We have confirmed that this network device is unable to support more than one console with an Open NAT.

Known Issues

This device's firewall settings can cause many online gaming issues with either Xbox model. If you are experiencing online multiplayer issues we recommend setting IPv4 Firewall Protection to Low to help resolve.
