Ambidextrous fight sticks

Before Street Fighter 2 came out there was a company known as Beeshu who made ambidextrous joysticks before they were known as fight sticks. They are good classic controllers that work for lots of different games that don't require analog precision.

I know Microsoft likes to talk about accessibility that one commercial during the Super Bowl about the kids coming over to see fellow friend complete an Xbox achievement without using a traditional controller drew a tear to my eye and the slogan "When everybody plays. we all win." is something I agree with.

Do you realize that ever since Street Fighter 2 came out for the Genesis that there was no console authorized right-handed fight stick for any console.

I did something that almost nobody did in the '90s and that was going to custom control, and back then in the 90s the only people who could help me were literally people in that were in the handicap control business before Ablegamers, like the company KY Enterprises.

I talked to a few GameStop managers and ask why they didn't carry fight sticks on a regular basis some didn't know but some offered this voluntarily and when I asked the big question they agreed with it. And my question was "Is the reason you're not buying them in stock is because they're not ambidextrous for right-handed or left-handed play?".

And a lot of people at GameStop said yes that the only day they sell fight sticks is as a day one collectible to coincide with a fight stick release and usually decorated with graphics/art from the game that's debuting that day.

Another reason why an ambidextrous fight stick with cell is because even the fight game community members sat that one out of 10 people use the stick the opposite way but they say most of them don't play fighting games.

The my answer is then "Why aren't you making that fight stick for those one out of 10 customers." Beeshu was able to stay in business for a while making sticks for those customers. It just that their ambidexterizing strategy wasn't the most economical combined with the most ergonomical.

I was told by Xbox about 6 months ago that the first official fight stick for the Xbox series would be an ambidextrous fight sick. No I understand if 6 months is not enough to turn around time to mass manufacture these sticks and they misanticipated that they were going to have rights to Street Fighter 6.

If that's the case I understand and hopefully within a year from now there will be at least one ambidextrous version of a fight stick for the one out of 10.

And the funny thing is with the Xbox accessories app if you make one change to allow All Digital buttons mode then you could make just a physical joystick that is ambidextrous and just use the app to change the buttons and stick to Sinister mode. No special wiring has to be redone. All you need to do is design it so that it is easily 180-able.
