    Ambassadors are all not the same


    Many people we talk to think we are all the same people, or all think the same. We are not the same, we are all very diverse in races, thoughts, and personalities. With that you have endless combinations of what can happen when you talk to an
    ambassador. Some may be harsher than others, some may be less knowledgeable.... But we are all trying to do the same thing. Help the Xbox community, and in reality , we continue to achieve this day after day, week after week, and year after year.


    Some problems we can't fix, But you can sure bet on us that we will try, and if we can't fix it.... ask someone who can help or contact microsoft support for you and help you set up a support chat.

    I Frankly am proud to be an ambassador for the Xbox Community. And I know every other ambassador will stand up next to me and say the same.

    But there is one important question we all ask our customers we help... "How can we help you today?"

    This is only a few of us. the list of ambassadors are continuously growing day by day. And we are ready to help.

  2. Disbelief in qualification of some Answer Tech people

    Sounds like they have the same qualifications as ambassadors. Basically anyone can be one. Maybe the OP can tell us how wonderful all the ambassadors are in help chats (since their an ambassador)? lol

    There all correct! There are some bad ambassadors and good ambassadors, but please! Not all of them are bad! I apologize for the experience you had! If you need any help please contact us again!

  6. There are many good ambassadors, unfortunately the ones joining just for the badges and rewards have totally ruined the reputation of the programme.

    Never in a million years would i use, or recommend any else to use, the ambassador service as a source of help.

    @THEOWENKILLER ... that's painting the service with a rather broad brush. They do clean house occasionally, offering assistance to those who may be struggling and making the decision to remove Ambassadors who, for whatever reason, aren't measuring up. Even
    without that, where else are you going to find people waiting to assist users 24/7, and doing so for free?

    Most ambassadors are not doing it for free, they do it for the rewards.

    Do you have any idea how many posts appear here with ambassadors ranting because they haven`t got the right level badge or the t-shirt for their avatar?

    Some of the ridiculous posts i have seen here, questions and answers, from new ambassadors is just an embarrassment to the programme.

    Most of them don`t even know the most basic of console functions, yet are expected to give advice to people one to one in private???

    Not to mention the amount of gamerscore cheats,avatar modders and in game modders i have seen here with the ambassador badge.

    There are several ambassadors i respect, but not because of the badge, because i see them here every day on this section of the forum, offering help for free.

    I prefer to stick to the AmbassaBank, myself. I prefer the real-time interaction with users. I make myself available especially during holiday periods (frequently on Christmas Day) taking as many questions as I can. Am I perfect? No. I'll take questions
    I know the answers to, but even then I'll check myself if needed. Why? Because the user deserves that, and I may well be out of date on my information. In other words, I know what I don't know.

    Again, bad apples exist, but they will get weeded out, in time. Those that stick with the program for the right reasons will make their presence known, just as you have indicated.

  10. Unfortunately they do not get weeded out at all.

    From what i see the "bad apples" outnumber the good ones ten times over.

    About 18 months to 2 years ago there were around 15,000 ambassadors, since they introduced rewards that`s jumped to well over 100,000.

    Literally anyone can become an ambassador, they need to change that.

    I haven't seen the numbers myself, and personally I present myself as best I can, whether I am one in a hundred or one in a hundred thousand. Because each individual's experience with the Ambassador program is only as good as their last interaction with
    the Ambassador program.

  12. I agree with Owen and I report ambassadors on a weekly basis that I don't believe are representing the values of the program. I used to be one myself, but actually started to feel a little embarrassed by it due to this 'bad weeds'

    I mean you get ambassadors in the support forums practically abusing the support staff and these are the people you want representing your company?

    Do they have a knowledge test when you sign up to be an Ambassador? I wouldn't expect them to know everything but surely the basics such as how to file a complaint or how to respond to losing control of your account for example.

    I'm guessing they don't, as those are just two of the questions I've seen Ambassadors ask on the forum.

  14. The only thing stopping you being an ambassador is prior enforcement being taken on your account.

    Every other barrier to becoming one such as age, gamerscore and gold membership can be overcome by anyone very easily.

    They suggested a knowledge test a while ago, but clearly it was never introduced.
