Amazon Video: juddering/stuttering, not smooth

I have a brand new Xbox One, fully updated, and Amazon video shows very noticeable juddering in the framerate, both in HD and SD streams. It's particularly noticeable on panning images, and I find it barely watchable.

It's not a network issue. I have 20Mb/s and I can watch Amazon Video without any trouble through my Blu Ray player, where it's perfectly smooth.

The xbox is connected through HDMI to a projector, which reports the refresh rate as 60Hz (1080p), both for the xbox and the blu-ray player.

Please help! One reason I bought the xbox was to replace the blu-ray player altogether, but right now I have to keep it because Amazon Video on the xbox is unwatchable. I saw the older thread about this issue which says that there was a fix rolled out
during 2015, but I'm definitely experiencing this problem.

Anybody else experience picture problems when streaming movies (rental and purchased) from Xbox Video - the picture seems to stutter/judder all the way through !!

I get horrible stutters on xbox rental on our windows 8.1 nettop computer through xbox.com. Using the xbox video app for windows 8 fixes the stutters, but seems to come with a wealth of other problems like the quality of the picture frequently going bad
(even though our internet is at a stable 24~25 Mbits), freezes, audio going out of sync ..

The whole service just seems to suck on a windows system. I'm done using it.

 

Hi, just a few question.

Have you tried it on a tv, to check it not a projector issue.

Also have you tried reinstalling the app, as occasionally there could be an issue with install.

 

gamiepo, there is a big thread started on this already. We're all waiting for Microsoft to fix this, it's across all video apps(Amazon, Vudu, Hulu) except for Netflix. All we can do is wait..I'll bump the long thread so you can see it.

lots of threads on this, affects nearly all video apps on the Xbox One. I'm starting to lose hope if march goes by without a fix.

 

Still not fixed in the March update.

 

So annoying ,I find opening and shutting apps and then trying again on the odd occasion works and everything is smooth again but it doesn't last .

 

still not fixed... i've resorted to using my surface pro hooked to the tv for video app watching, the same apps like Microsoft Movies & TV work perfectly on that output to the tv, no framerate issue.

 

I just watched a movie tonight on Movies & TV app and the stuttering is gone! i'm on the latest beta program. So happy, hopefully it continues this way.
