Amazon Video App Error Code 5266

Does anyone know what to do when you get error 5266 when trying to open the Amazon Video app? I have restarted the xbox one, I have rebooted my modem and router, I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app. I have no idea what this is. A google search
doesn't bring up anything to help.

I’m having the same problem. I was uploading the Amazon Prime Video app when I received the error code. The Xbox error code help site does not recognize the error.

 

Amazon Instant Video Not Working

Whenever we try to watch anything within the Amazon Instant video app it says that we can't watch the video to try another with the error code 7313. We can't find anything on this error code. Any advice?

 

Has your problem been solved meanwhile? I'm getting the same error since a few moments. I was watching an episode of some show, and when it was time to automatically switch to the next episode, the timer ran down to 0 and the app hung up. After killing the
app and restarting it I get error code 5266.

 

And I have been having the same problems this last hour too. Will keep looking and write in here if I find anything.

 

It looks like they are indeed having problems!

Probably just need to ride it out.

I keep having the same problem on my XboxOne and Roku 3. I just got off of the phone with Amazon support @ 2:45pm ET. They did in fact confirm that it is a known problem and that they are actively working on it. They suggested I try using the app again in
an hour. It doesn't fix the problem but at least it sheds some light. good luck everyone.

 

I'm having the same problem too mate, looks like it's just a general problem tonight. Hopefully a one off

 

I found out a solution to this problem for me.

I got a new internet service and when I turned my xbox one on I couldn't get into my Amazon Video and kept getting the error code 5266 no matter what I did, I restarted my router & Xbox, deleted the app and re-installed it then I even got my wi-fi hot spot
connected to my xbox and it did work to get my amazon video working but once I connected it back to my original wifi it went back to the same dreaded error!

So finally I ended up contacting my internet provider and they opened up some of the ports for my connection and once they did that BINGO it works again! Thought i'd share that and hope it helps anyone with this same issue.

 

How long has this happened? Have you tried contacting Amazon?

 

Had the same issue fixed inow minutes I have the app on Apple TV. Solution.... update the app
