    Amazon Sound bar isn't able to work with my Kinect.


    So I recently purchased an Amazon Basics soundbar on the recent Prime Day. It sounds decent enough in my living room, but I'm trying to make it compatible with the Xbox One and it's just not working. Xbox One is not recognizing the brand name, and there's
    no remote code for it that I'm finding anywhere on the internet at all. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

    Can Xbox One control a Vizio sound bar?

    I have a Vizio sound bar plugged directly into my X1 (w/ Kinect) via optical audio cable. The sound works fine but when I say "Xbox Mute" or "XBox Volume Up" the TV responds with "Speakers Off" but the sound bar does nothing. The voice power on/off also
    works with the TV but not the sound bar. Is there some setting I'm missing? Thanks!

    Need help with Dolby Atmos

    Hello,

    I have an SJ9 sound bar connected to my TV with an ARC cable. My Xbox one x connects directly to my sound bar. I have installed Dolby Access app and configured it to work with my sound bar. Atmos sound works until I plug in a headset. Then Atmos sound disconnects.
    I would like Atmos sound to come out of my sound bar and be able to use my single ear headset to talk to people. Does anyone know if there is a setting to make this happen? Is this a Microsoft bug or an Atmos App bug.

    Unexplained loss of audio.

    Hi I have same issue with Apple app and Amazon Prime. I disabled ‘Allow Pass through’ on advanced audio settings and it got sound working. Note I have Xbox One X with an optical connection to a sound bar. My sound bar does not have HDMI port. This might work for you if your using an optical cable for your sound set up.

    In my experience the Xbox One Kinect is often not able to turn sound bars on and off.

    There is an issue with the remote codes for sounds bars on many universal remote controls not just the Xbox one. If you can locate a code online, you can try entering it but this may be limited to volume and not powering on/off

    Does the sound bar have an optical connection? You could TRY connecting the Xbox to sound bar directly (pretty cheap cables on amazon) and see if that rectifies it...

    Hi Studbucket,

    I was under the impression that the TV would've been controlled by the hdmi control (like the PS3). I had my previous 2012 LG 47LS4600 hooked up the same way with the kinect on top and it worked fine. Additionally, my kinect is currently behind my sound
    bar (which is hooked up via the TV's optical port) and it works fine.

    With that said, I tried your suggestion of holding my kinect facing down and it worked! I put it back on top of the TV and spaced my TV a little further back from my sound bar and it appears to be working fine now.
