    Amazon Prime Video App no longer working on Xbox One


    Within the last several days my Prime Video app stopped working. I've since uninstalled it and tried to reinstall it. However, since reinstalling (even if I wait several hours before clicking on the app to launch it) all it does is pop up the "Getting your
    app ready. This may take a minute or two" thing, and then after 30 seconds or so gives me an error code I can't find support for - 0x80073cf6.

    I've tried uninstalling AGAIN, I've tried a complete power-cycle of the box (over 20 minutes with the brick unplugged, and none of it works.

    Suggestions?

    Issue with Amazon Prime app on Xbox One since the Windows 10 / Experience update

    The video quality of the Amazon Prime app has severely diminished since the Xbox One Experience update.

    It looks like the video streaming is hampered by the update. It looks like a stream over a bad connection.

    I can switch to a Roku device on the same switch and the Amazon Prime app worked perfectly. I can watch Netflix and Hulu on the Xbox One without issue, but it's just the Amazon Prime video app that has been adversely effected by the update. As a result,
    I no longer use the Xbox One apps to watch video content.

    Anyone else have this issue?

    Xbox One and Amazon Prime Video.

    I checked the list and have done all they have listed. I have reset the router, factory reset the box, uninstalled and reinstalled the Amazon Prime video.

    I have spent 5 hours with amazon support and 2 hours with Xbox support. I have an Xbox One and Xbox One X that have the same problem with Amazon Prime Video.

    I can go into Prime Video, select a video, the video will play, I hear the audio but have a black screen.

    I have tried the Xbox on two T.V.s. I tried the Amazon Prime Video on the Xbox 360 and it works.

    Amazon Prime Video is worked up until 10 days ago. And is the only video app not working correctly.

    Amazon instant video

    Amazon Instant Video shows any films purchased through Amazon and any Amazon Prime content.

    Xbox doesn't have a Prime App, rather Xbox Video which only shows films and shows purchased through Xbox Store.

    If films/shows purchased from Amazon aren't showing in Amazon Instant Video app you will need to contact Amazon Customer Support to verify your purchases.

    Remember, Amazon Prime content changes so they remove films/shows periodically and add new ones. Amazon Instant Video purchases remain all the time.

    Thank you for posting on the Xbox forums. I'd be happy to answer that.

    All you need to do is open the Microsoft Store app on your Xbox One and search for "Amazon Prime Video" to pull up the
    app developed for the Xbox One console so that you can log into to your Amazon Prime account and link your Amazon account with your Microsoft account. Once signed in, you should be able to use the app to stream videos available through your Amazon Prime account.
