    Amazon Echo volume control bugged


    I use a smart TV and Xbox Series X just recently if I ask my Amazon Echo to turn up volume to say 20 on Xbox it just keeps going up to 100. (I have set up CEC TV controls so when I turn the Xbox the TV comes on) please help as only way I've found to fix it is I'm having to do first time installation

    My name is welcome to the community.

    Hello jayhodgson, you've tried some procedure in the console like clearing the cache or resetting your console while keeping games and Apps if you haven't tried to follow the procedure below.

    Press the Xbox button to open the panel.

    Select system > system > console > system

    Select Reset console.

    Restore and maintain my games and apps.

    Rest assured, you won't miss games or saves

    Note - You need to know the email and passwords of your accounts when performing this reset.

    Also try to check if there are no firmware updates in Amazon Echo.

    I would be very surprised if your TV is sophisticated enough for that. Typically you just say “volume up” and it hits the button for a specific period of time.
