See that feature would just annoy me. I live in a noisy household, so the Alien would always be tracking me down because of noise others are making.

 

Yep I get that, but it's the sort of game that is best played on your own anyway, you need to listen for the Xeno as well, it's pretty slow paced but works fantastically to build proper immersion and genuine tension.

 

And right now I'm loving the Kinect with Dragon Age!

 

In "Alien: Isolation" besides being able to use noise as a diversion with Kinect you are also able to hold the LB button down to take advantage of the contextual lean.

It's something incredibly simple. You slowly lean to the left or right to peep around a corner or edge.

You slowly lean forwards to poke your head from behind cover to see if the coast is clear.

You also can use it to move yourself inside a locker, looking to the left and right, pushing your face right up against the vent or leaning back and holding your breath hoping as you realise the Alien is walking only feet away from you.

Sounds incredibly simple but is hugely immersive when you play the game.

Of course you can turn the sound feature off if the house is noisy and still use the lean.

It worked great for me until the wife brought me a cup of tea... then all the Androids wanted one too.

It was a very hurty time.

 

Good to know you can turn of the sound recognition and still keep the motion options, thanks for the info Az.

 

Could get Xbox One for £269 with pes2015. Do you guys think this is a good deal? I have no interest in kinect..

All joking aside that is a good price for a console and a new game. I would wait until next Friday tho being black Friday and all.
