Amazon.co.uk £5 prepaid codes received with 12M Xbox Live not working

Hi there,

Purchsed 12M Xbox live with free £10 (2x £5) credit from Amazon.co.uk on July 12th.

Have been trying to redeem codes but keep getting an error message Error 0x80122727

The code recognises that it is for £5 but when I click redeem it says "something went wrong"

Spoke to Sarah P on Live chat and she confirmed codes were showing as active but advised I post here for a resolution.

Please advise!

hi can you help i purchased a prepaid xbox live gold membership with 12m/1month plus a free COD black ops 2 cap for my avatar yet its been nearly 5 months and still have not received my BO2 cap yet can you help and tell me why
i have not received it.

I checked my gold tenure on the link eG x Thee Elf posted and mine says

Prepaid 12M Xbox LIVE Gold this one isn't canceled

Prepaid 12M Xbox LIVE Gold canceled

Prepaid 12M Xbox LIVE Gold canceled

Prepaid 12M Xbox LIVE Gold canceled

gold 1 month free trial canceled

but yet I have no number next to my name

 

Hi Cheesyslug - I'm in the same boat, spoke to Keno on Live Chat, 12 month worked ok but the 2 codes didn't.

He said that it looked like a possible regional mismatch (on checking at his side said the currency is SLK or Slovakia although 2 x £5 on the Amazon receipt) and i was to include this reference number 1349389019.

Hope someone can help us, i spent an hour doing checks this morning - located in the UK

Error 80122727 means they're expired. Try redeeming them here:
account.microsoft.com/.../redeem to see for yourself.

Hey Cheesyslug! XCosmo BOLTz is correct that the error code you're seeing generally means the codes have expired. do you know if an expiration date was included when you received the codes? Post back and let us know!
