Amazon buys Twitch

why did Farscape just repeat what the OP has already stated and the subject of the thread is on? as if no one knew what the thread was about. smh

 

Honestly, I think it's good Google didn't get twitch. They already have Youtube.. it would leave very few choices for people wanting to stream/put their videos up for gaming. Also, means you don't have to connect your G+ account to your twitch account (really
dislike that Google is insisting all their accounts get connected).

And Amazon is a good company. They do their research on the market they want to go in and they actually try to offer stuff people in that market would want. So I think it is an ideal place for Twitch to go honestly.

 

I hate Google+ accounts too. I prefer my MS Passport account.

 

ShadowRiver, I'm right there with you on the points you made.

 

When all is said and done, google buy companies with share deals, but uncomplicated hard cash is a much better option IMO.

 

Cash = always best option for versatility.

 

Is this why twitch won't run on my iPhone 5 now? Did the update today which said it would fix playback issues (I had none) now streams pause every 2 secs or are black or are super low quality. Bah.

 

It is having some issues tonight. Seems to be better on the XO than PC, though.

 

Yah, I read it's been DDoS'd by the same clowns who clogged up the PSN servers over the weekend. Hope they get it sorted out soon.

 

And after reading it on web i thought Twitch will be exclusive to X1. I have a reason though... complete X1 related stuff is exclusively available on Amazon in my country and in return Amazon will give twitch exclusivity to X1

I know it's a stupid thought but hey i couldnt stop it.
