Amazon buys Twitch

Is it me or does it seem like anything Microsoft is involved in Amazon interferes with it. First Double Helix now Twitch. I am starting to dislike them makes you feel like there gonna do something stupid to annoy us fanboys & girls.

Microsoft wasn't involve in Twitch.

Google bought Twitch,not Amazon.

 

@ Tzar...the news today says Amazon is buying Twitch, not Google.

 

@Tzar actually, Amazon did just swoop in and buy Twitch from under Google's nose. This was confirmed.

Personally, as a customer, I don't like Amazon, so I would like to see how this deal plays out.

 

Oh ok.....Can't wait next week to know the company who bought it,and week after....

But for me Twitch isn't really that interesting.....Just a broadcaster.

 

I would rather Amazon, than Google. I don't have Prime, but I do purchase frequently from Amazon and have always had excellent service from them. ...and have never felt taken for granted, or advantage of.

 

Glad Twitch turned down Google for Amazon seeing as they would have completely ruined the website with non stop DMCA requests.

I do not think anyone will deny that much money in cash money.

 

twitch has just bee bought out by Amazon for nearly $970 Million (£585 Million), well were gonna definitely see more adds and crap on there now, goodbye to online streaming the way it was.

Will be interesting to see what they do with it, but if they put it behind a pay wall IMO it will kill it, and make the market ripe for an new Independent to come alone and compete.

I am not a fan of Amazon from a company POV but from a customer they are fairly good.

I enjoy watching Twitch regularly but in the last few weeks I've had to sit through advertising every time I click on a stream. It's very annoying and I wouldn't be surprised if Amazon starts putting adverts during streams. If they do it will be the end
of it for me.
