Amazon-bought digital XBL Gold code not working?(xbox 360)

I just bought a 3-month Xbox Live Gold digital code on Amazon, but when i tried to redeem it, it didn't work. I have tried on both console, and pc.

ON CONSOLE:

clicked on the xbox guide button, went to redeem code, and tried to key it in. It says that the code is invalid. If i went to Settings, and then Account, i can't access the Your Membership
section. It says that there is some problem with the service, or that it can't receive any information from xbox live, and gives me the error code 80153003

ON PC:

When i tried to redeem the code, it verifies that it's a 3-month XBL Gold code, and I'm prompted to click confirm. But when I click confirm, it says Something went wrong. sorry about that. Give it a try in a while.

I'm not sure if it makes a difference, but I'm using a PAL xbox, but I have my region set to the US. what should I do?

Quantum Break Pre-Load code bonus for Windows 10 Amazon

Hello guys. I bought Quantum Break Pre-Load digital code for XBox One on Amazon and I have not receive my Quantum Break Windows 10 digital code yet!

I bought Quantum Break Pre-Load digital code for XBox One on Amazon on April 4-th because Amazon said they will give me Quantum Break Windows 10 digital code. I redeemed the XBox One Quantum Break Pre-Load digital code on xbox.com on April 4-th. Today is
April 15-th and I have no Quantum Break Windows 10 digital code. I check my xbox.com account messages every day and there is no any message with my code.

I do not have XBox One or XBox 360 console, so I use xbox.com.

I know on region locked DLC or games you have to have the regions of your console, your account, and your physical region all match in order to redeem and or download that stuff. but I dunno if it is only required to have your account region match the region
of the code for Gold, but hopefully somebody can answer that one.

 

it's been about 10 hours since I first tried to redeem the code. Still not working. I just wanna play my Titanfall damn it.

Do I need to have a payment option to redeem a code??? Because if I do, then that might be the problem.

 

You do not need to add a payment option in order to redeem a code. We do recommend that you add Billing Information. At that same site, select "Billing info" from the column on the left. Then click "Edit Profile" at the top of the screen to add your name,
address, email, etc.

 

My billing info is all there, but the code still isn't working. What are the conditions for the billing info? I'm currently in Malaysia, but I don't have the option to pick Malaysia as a country, so my region and country sections are set to the US.

 

that is your issue right there those codes are region locked so a USA code only works on a USA account and since you are in Malaysia you will not be able to use that code sorry.

 

Thanks, I guess I gotta get a new code. On a completely separate note, could I buy 3-Month Gold on the microsoft store? Is the digital code being sold there only for US accounts? or does it automatically assign you a code for your region?

 

no the site only sells codes for the region the site is from so if you buy from a US region they will only give you a US region code.
