Amazon app won't update

I can't seem to get the amazon app to update. I've tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it. Tried turning off automatic app updates and checking for updates manually but no dice. I still have the last version from February I think it was, no 4k .

4k problems on xbox one s

Amazon app is on amazon to update, not xbox/MS. Contact amazon about that one (as I have) and tell them to hurry up and update the app.

Xbox One S HDR Bug

Nemesis971, the Xbox One Amazon app does not currently support 4K, so you won't have any HDR problems caused by that app.

I'm sorry to see any issues with the app update! To check on what version you have, can you go into your My games & apps section, highlight the Amazon App, then hit LB + RB + View buttons for me (View is what used to be called the Select
button). Post back with an image of that captured on a phone or camera for me.

So basically the statement on MS Store that you can stream Netflix and Amazon in 4k is false when it comes to Amazon?

The Netflix 4k works fine on mine and so does 4k HDR disc playback. Amazon has not updated the app in years and it certainly does not list any 4k categories for purchase or play. My Roku 4 does. A little peeved at Vudu too. They haven't updated their app
for Xbox One or S in years.

Can't get an answer out of Amazon as to why they are listed as supported for 4k, but they have not updated their app.
