Amazing Spiderman 2 joins Titanfall and others with Horrible Screen Tearing

I'm sorry to hear about your issues with screen tearing on Titanfall and Spiderman 2 but I have had no screen tearing with either game : (

 

@ Dufful I too like the Xbox it is MY console of choice and in the end thats what its about what a person likes and the choice they make in purchasing products : Cars,TV's food etc.

 

Ok, lets see if this is correct, the reason you have screen tearing is because you have parts of two screens on the TV at the same time. They don't match up. The GPU isn't going to do this, it will send one right after another. It sounds to me that the TV
is just to slow to display the first screen and the GPU is pushing the next screen out before the TV is finished displaying the first screen.

Using V-sync slows the GPU down, it waits until the screen is finished before pushing the next one out.

So if the TV is fast enough to keep ahead of the GPU then there wouldn't be any screen tearing.

It this right or wrong?

 

I'm not ashamed of liking the xbox one. But when someone starts calling me derogatory names for liking it then I'm going to snap back. Just the way I am.

 

@ Sigma if the PS4 has screen tearing in some games then so be it, I'm a neutral fellow I own neither next generation system at the moment. No doubt a good position to be in reading some threads on here.

But you can't keep going round blaming the developers, a developer has a time limit to get a game to market. I mean Sigma if you want to finance a developer further with your wallet to improve X BOne game performance then cool.

But the downside, would mean a later release date for the One!

Forza runs in 1080 P, 60 FPS because they had three years to polish the game.

I wonder how long the Titanfall and Spiderman developers had access to MS so called wonder machine and software tools.

Soon this might be a thing of the past though with the arrival of DX15, you just have to wait till 2015 to see what the impact is.

As for the topic at hand, I haven't heard much screen tearing from other people and I imagine this is a dev fault, so take to them and let them know fly my pretties, fly.

 

I really wish I had these Magical Consoles and TV's that prevented Screen Tearing on my Titanfail and Not Very Amazing Spiderman 2. My Console is new as expected, and my Tv is a year old LCD 1080 P Samsung

It's not about whether we face the facts or not - it's the fact that we don't see it so it doesn't bother us or if we do see it, it only appears for less than a split second and doesn't break the game. I'm sorry that you see it and it bothers you to the
extent that it does, but I can assure you that complaining about it here isn't going to help get it fixed.

 

Omg is this still going on, yes the game tears, and yes your tv makes it worse, added to this your looking for it. What's the model number of the TV, so we can tell you is lag, which is making the tearing look worse. ?

 

Lol. Yes this discussion is still going on...if it bothers nobody else, why so serious??? An old friend used to tell me "Never go on a louse hunt, you might find a louse..." Seem your reaching so you can complain. IMO...
