Amazing Spider Man 2 cancelled on Xbox One?

Read and watched the IGN review

They tested it on various platforms and overall they said the swinging about is fun, combat dull and a few times they had to restart certain sections, mainly boss fights because it glitched out and they couldn't continue.

They said it just felt as though it was rushed out.

 

My copy just arrived, not expecting a masterpiece, just a bit of web slinging fun.... this is probably gonna suck though isn't it? lol.

I've heard mixed things, but as you put it, a bit of web slinging fun, sounds good to me.

Any word that it is appearing on the UK Store tomorrow?

Where did you get a copy from?

They aren't being sold yet.

 

Release date is tomorrow, guessing he pre-ordered and its been delivered early like 99% of pre-orders

 

Or you go to your local Indy and pay £2 extra to have it a day early?!?

 

Game is abysmal on the Xbox 360.

Web-swinging with the left and right triggers is the best part of the game. Graphics are sub-par, voice acting is tolerable but not great. Characters are designed and animated terribly.

The five year old Web of Shadows is a far better game.

I really don't want to play any more of the Amazing Spider-Man 2 but I kind of feel I have to after paying for it. Then again since I haven't gained an achievement yet I could just remove it from my profile and be done with it.

 

If it's that bad mate, eBay it and get some of your money back!

A quick two second trip to Shopto will show you its instock....maybe they were just late on updating the system and it went out yesterday, who knows. I don't really see what the big issue is.

No actual release date though there is one for all the other platforms.

So as an Amazing Spider-Fan I for one would like to be playing the game when it's released and have a disc copy rather than a digital copy.

 

Xbox one version is supposedly still postponed. Will see tomorrow if it leaks onto UK marketplace like it did the US one

It's not the best Superhero game ever, the Arkham games have set the bar high and AS2 falls fairly short of the mark.

They've tried to implement a lot of things from the Arkham games, on paper it sounds great, but the controls and camera let it down a fair bit.

Graphics are a very mixed bag. Some character faces look great, but mostly it's not a lot (texture/model-wise) the 360/PS3 couldn't handle.

Missions are nothing special, side missions get dull fairly quickly and the city itself feels very "last gen" and I'm fairly sure it's a lot smaller than previous Spidey games.

If you're a big Spidey fan then it's worth a look.... Otherwise I'd steer clear.

 

Oh, and the combat is a poor imitation of Arkhams system too, punch, punch, dodge, punch, dodge, etc with camera letting things down a tad too.

I'd definitely agree it feels rushed and partly cobbled together from assets from previous games.

Shame, cos I enjoyed the previous games a lot and Spidey rocks!
