Amazing 3rd party controller

Hi everyone,

Today I received my new joypad which I ordered after reading great reviews on Amazon, and now I can confirm its brilliance. The name of the pad is

PDP Afterglow Wired Controller with SmartTrack Technology - Green
I managed to snag it for £13.99 but now its £16.99, but even then this pad is well worth it. The only downside is that it doesn't come in black and has a see-through casing which lights up green (but can be switched off).

The build quality is fantastic and the sticks feel sooooooooo good. I tried it on the CoD 2 demo and I have to say that it may even be better than the official pad. I only wanted a spare pad for when I have people round at mine, and never wanted to pay the
full whack for the official pad. This must be one of those occasions where you snag an awesome product for an awesome bargain.

The controller is wired which for me is superb being the older gamer. Too many years have developed the whip technique which wireless just cannot offer

So if you were after an amazing joypad but for dirt cheap, look into the PDP Afterglow wired controller. Very good indeed.

3rd Party Controller

Just had a look at Afterglow, they do make an XB1 pad but it's shaped exactly like the official ones and also has rumble triggers. The 2 things I hate about the pad, usually you can disable stuff like rumble on some 3rd party stuff but it doesn't look like
you can on that, cheers for the suggestion anyway mate.

big fan of afterglow tbh, had controllers and the 360 and they were good, but no idea what there like for the xbox one.

Sorry to hear it. Is it an official Xbox 360 controller or 3rd party? If it's 3rd party it may be an issue with the controller but try turning the console off then on again

Microsoft can't guarantee that our accessories will work with 3rd-party accessories, or that 3rd-party accessories will work correctly with our hardware. Please refer to the 3rd-party controller manufacturer website on how to properly use it with an Xbox or a headset, or if it even supports headset use for the console as some 3rd-party controllers may not.

Additionally, you may need to update your 3rd-party controllers' firmware using you PC in order for it to work properly. In any case, you will need to check the manufacturer's website for both your headset and your 3rd-party controller to see if they support connectivity with one another and to the console.
