Am I the only one tired of all the remake games?

I get that there was not a lot of games for release so they released a lot of remakes to fill the gap. But we are now going into our second year and developers are still pumping out tons of remakes. What happened to new games and IP"s? Game wise they has
to be the worst release of games for any new console. I am by no means saying the game out now suck. But they are pushing tons of remakes on us to fill the gap of what should be new games.

Tired of all the glitches

This is obviously a popular game, and it's one of my favorites when it works right. I started playing it 3-4 years ago, but ended up deleting it from my computer because it constantly kept crashing. I decided to give it another try and started playing again
about 4 months ago. Unfortunately, I see nothing has changed in all this time. It still keeps losing connection, and if I'm lucky enough to get to play a few rounds in a row, I never get the 100 keys for completing the community goal, no matter which country
I play in or how long. I can't get a power bingo/chests unless I spend a ton of coins to get extra bingos. I played in Italy for over 2 weeks and never got a single collection item, so I moved to Tazania 3 days ago and haven't gotten any there yet either.

No matter which destination I go to, there are numerous complaints from people having the same issues as I am. Those same complaints are all over the board here. You'd think Microsoft would take that to heart and fix the server, or whatever the issue is; especially
when they claim to have the best/most popular software available. Out of every program and app I run on my computer this is the only one I ever have issues with. I'm going to give it a few more days, but sadly, I'm probably going to have to delete the game
again.

 

Do You Like HD Remakes?

I would only care about an HD remake of my most beloved games. Which I can count on one hand. They could remake all the older games and I wouldn't bat an eye. If they released KOTOR in HD? I'd be all over that.

 

Until a new Fallout or Elder Scrolls comes out, I'm amused with the remakes. In a way I rather PREFER them...better graphics, bugs worked out, D.L.C. included, AND they don't pester me for updates constantly.

There are only a few more games I would buy remakes of though...Skyrim, Fallout 3, and Borderlands 2; after that my nostalgia will be at a end. Lol.

I am after Spring.....State of Decay. After that, yes I am tired of them.

 

There needs to be more remasters. I need a Brink remaster, a Stranglehold remaster and a Doritos Crash Course remaster and Ill be in gaming bliss.

 

I don't know, I actually feel that they haven't hampered new releases in any way and like Deedles said, they are completed games with no bugs and a smooth experience, which we really haven't been experiencing much of lately.

I haven't purchased many of the remakes for the Xbox One anyway as they all seem to be fairly recent games. I would be keen for Resident Evil 1, 2 and 3 as well as Skyrim.

 

^^Maybe if you had played Shadow of Mordor you would have experienced a glitch free game.

The problem I have with remakes is they are games that can be played on 360/PS3. I am sure no one here bought a $400-$500+ console to play a bunch of games that can be played on previous hardware. If you did cool, but I and many other people want new experiences
not the same ones just in 1080p.

 

This is simply their way of sating those who wanted backwards compatibility but didn't get it.

 

I don't believe in taking resources away from creating new I.P.s, and truly believe people that dropped $500.00 on a next generation console SHOULD have new experiences. Though in the meantime I'll purchase Borderlands 2 again on the X1 rather than purchase
a "new" game such Zoo Tycoon.

No not at all...the more games they release for the Xbox One the better i feel. That doesn't at all mean i don't want new games but nothing wrong with a variety either. I don't think we need an over saturation of remakes and if they are choosing to do remakes
at least make them ones we loved and worth the price of wanting to venture back into them.

 

I'm liking a good few of them, keeps things ticking over inbetween the big releases. Few of my favs..

Guacamelee, a brilliant little PS3 game that made the hop to XB/PS4 with the Super Turbo Edition.

Binding of Isaac Rebirth, because I don't game on PC I finally got to play it.

Metro Redux, 2033 on the Last Light engine is superb.

Sleeping Dogs, killing people with fish in full HD never gets old!

Last of Us, because it's amazing and I get to play MP with my 360 mates who never had a PS3 but got PS4.

All top titles that do have a place on current gen consoles imo, and the Resi, DmC and DMC4 remakes are the icing on the cake for me, keep 'em coming when they're that good!

 

When people say stuff like this has to be one of the worst slate of games for a new console ever, I get the distinct impression that they never purchased a console in it's first year before. There is a ton of games available for Xbox One. If you are saying
'Hey, there's not enough current gen only titles', ok, but... this always happens. In fact, I'm pretty impressed we got a current-gen only title in a major franchise like Assassin's Creed so soon. (Probably due to the fact that last gen lasted a REALLY long
time).

Seriously, the only platform I can think of to have a better 'year one' of available titles was the Dreamcast, which was mostly due to the fact that it came out a year later everywhere else after it was already released in Japan and because Sega's previous
system (Saturn) had died so early in the previous gen they had plenty of time to prepare for the next one. And if you look at that same gen, the PlayStation 2 had an AWFUL first TWO years.

As for the remakes... no, I'm not tired of them. Most remakes are contracted out, and when they are not, they still don't take nearly the amount of time, money, or effort to produce as a new title. They really don't affect 'new' releases much at all. There
really isn't a bunch of new titles we'd be playing if the remakes haven't been made.

I haven't bought a single remake on my Xbox One yet, but one title I would give anything for to come out on it would be a 'Definitive' edition combo of Assassin's Creed II and Brotherhood using one of the newer engines (either Black Flag or Unity... probably
better in Black Flag's engine, though). Once that is made and a new Splinter Cell is announced, I can finally retire my 360.

 

Remember the 360 had Bully? Gun? Burnout Revenge? and a bunch of other xb/ps2 games. I think the Xb1/ps4 is getting a few more, maybe because they look so *** good. I also think the ps3/360 life cycle was and is longer then any other gen, idk.

 

Not really tired of them but I'm anxious to see/ play new IP's. Sunset Overdrive was amazing and I have high hopes for Quantum Break.

Now I wouldn't mind something like original Borderlands being remade but what makes it funny is these are remastered versions of games that came out a year before the new consoles.

But on the other hand some people may look forward to some of these titles so that's cool too I guess.
