I got to be honest I've never known as much excitement for a game. I believe 95% of my friends list will be playing this next week and from going online it's what most of them are talking about.

I wonder how many people will be coming down with mystery illnesses next week and taking time off from work etc? lol

Yes they both will fail....as toasters and waffle makers....but they will exceed modern day standards as video game consoles.

There is no way in the world that either console will fail.

 

Its all about the multiplayer now adays in gaming and nearly everyone on my friends list will be playing this game next week. Titanfall is going to be in the runnning for the game of the year and also a few awards.

I know! I keep waiting for the days to end! I think the last game that made me do that was... I can't even remember. Easily my most anticipated game in years, made so by the fact I've already played it. I know what I'm getting. I was given a really sweet game
to play with for a few days, and then had it taken away. I want it back!

You make a good point saying "It's all about MP these days" ...

Don't get me wrong, there's always a place in my collection for a good SP game but when you get a game like Titanfall or any other big MP title, for me it's not just about the actual game, it's about the social side to it, partying up with friends and just
having a good old laugh and enjoying the experience.

I think why there is a lot of hype for SP games and rightly so, all too often these days you find that after 10-15 hours average, it's all over, something like Titanfall I bet the majority will be playing it almost non-stop. As I've said before, that's why
I don't quite get people saying, "Not paying full price for a MP only title" .. chances are though for most this will last ALOT longer than most SP games and people don't really say ... "Not paying full price for a SP only game" ...

I put it towards my theory of replayability. With Call of Duty the match would end and I'd be like, "Do I want another one? Yeah, one more". With Battlefield its like "No. I'm exhausted." With Titanfall it was a straight "yes, keep em coming".

I'm looking forward to the online campaigns. The lore is amazing, and I have the book to prove it. A sensation that simply cannot get here soon enough.

And sp / mp Gta5 was the biggest game this gen. It had mp, but sales were driven by sp.

 

@Lofty i agree with the single player games after about 10 to 15 hours you start to lose the replay ability with them. Where as with a multiplayer games i will get 100+ hours easy out of them and it easily justifys the price tag.

Even though at the time of the beta I didn't have much spare time to play it but I remember a few friends that played it constantly, well whenever they could get online and quite a few of them were gutted when it ended.

What really surprised me with a few of them, they are or I should say were BIG COD/Battlefield fans, after playing the beta they struggled to go back to COD/BF, said it just wasn't the same no-more.

 

Call of Duty hasn't been the same for me since. I keep trying to run across walls and double jump. With friends it's still fun, but I can't see why I would ever need to touch Ghosts again after I got Titanfall.

Watchdogs is a good example of a fully realised SP game, with added playable Multiplayer. That game is going to be incredible value for cash, and so is Titanfall. Two online campaigns, plus a competitive multiplayer suite? Take my money.

When Gears of War first came out I played it religiously. Must have clocked Hundreds of Hours.

 

Agreed. This gen needs a great third person cover shooter / adventure.
