am i missing something when fitting big bosses?

when fighting a huge boss like the spider robot in the devils lair or that big think in the summoning pits, these big huge monster bosses take a million hits to die. is there something i am missing when fighting them? i find it hard to believe that we are
suppose to chip away very small amounts of damage when fighting them. is there something i am suppose to do during boss fights i am missing? it just seems that the bosses take way too much damage.

You mean when you're playing as Desmond in 2012? The only things I ever found were the artifacts that were lying around as well as the weird trail of red footprints leading from the bottom of the stairs to the back door where the hideout is (when using eagle
vision). So no, not really... After you get the cheevo for the artifacts there really isn't much out there. At least that I've ever found.

Well clearly you have never played an mmo

 

Don't think you're doing anything wrong, they just take some beating. The only tip that might help is if any of them are giving off red, blue or purple numbers when you hit them that's their shield weakness, so if you've got a weapon damage type to match
that'll do more damage (red/solar for red, blue/arc for blue, purple/void for purple)

BUT.... the big bosses I've faced so far in two strikes are yellow which is just bog standard kinectic anyway me thinks so.... that won't help if they're all like that.

Read on some forum damage type only applies on mythic difficulty but I think he was guessing too so take it with a grain of salt.

The damage type thing is not explained well anywhere in game.

 

The bosses in this game are meant to be bullet sponges, hence why strikes are designed for 3 players and raids 6 players. You aren't doing anything wrong, it's how the game works. The only words of advice I can give you is to get a good group together and
find each bosses weak points, they all have one and the extra damage is worth it.

 

okay, thanks. and this is the first MMO i have ever played. unless diablo 3 counts as an MMO.

 

I think they all have weak spots . I have managed to find a few and that seems to help! also like the above poster said go in with three people and being a level or two above the boss helps big time!
