Am I missing something, or is Payday 2: Crimewave Edition extremely overpriced?

60$ for us canadians, and $50 for you americans. from what I've read, it's literally just payday 2 with updated graphics and like 1 or 2 extra masks. I'm sure they know it's overpriced, as they are giving a 25% discount a month before it's even out, but
even with that discount it's still expensive...

why is it called payday 2 CRIMEWAVE EDITION if it dosnt contain ANY dlc? why didnt they discount just payday 2 instead of crimewave edition

Don't get it then. Vote with your wallet. Payday 2 was meh. Not my cup of tea so I won't be getting it.

 

I'm definitely not getting it for that price. I just wanted to hear others opinions on it. I tried googling "payday 2: crimewave edition overpriced" and things similar to that, but couldn't find any discussions on it.

 

The reason you didn't find any discussions regarding being it overpriced is because it isn't.

This is Payday 2 and all the DLC that was released for the PC. For people who like the genre (co-op shooter) there is a ton of content here.

 

The game was once free on gwg or psn, can't remember, it was that boring and tacky.

 

The base game was free on the PS3 with Plus. If you played it solo I could see it being somewhat boring much like playing LFD solo.

Playing this game co-op is where it shines. I would recommend anyone who played Left for Dead and wants that type of game play with significantly more depth and tactics ( and no zombies ) to do some research......I definitely don't need to defend this game.

 

So there was a bunch of exclusive DLC on the PC that is going to be on the Xbox One and PS4 versions? I played the base game quite a bit on 360, and it was fun, but it definitely lacked content.

that is a nice amount of content, but I still think it's overpriced. the discounted price seems a bit more reasonable now though, but I'm probably still going to wait for a better sale. maybe I'm just becoming cheap

 

I loved the game but that company is a bunch of con artists. They get people to buy the game for 360 saying they will support it with all the dlc and new maps and heists etc. They come out with a billion new dlc maps for pc without ever touching the 360
version and then right before it comes out for Xbox One they say they are canceling all support for the 360 version so u have to rebuy it for an even higher price than it was if u wanna play the new dlc they had promised in the first place. I love this game
but cant support a greedy company like that.
