Am I less important because I have a pre paid credit card?

I'm really upset as a consumer... I'm a live Gold subscriber for years and since a problem that I've had in the past I had an idea to change my credit card for pre paid credit card... and I have already bought many games and others with this card that I've
made to my son... this way he can learn how to use his money properly and his own games and stuff... yesterday I've tried to renew my subscription of "Xbox live gold" and was refused by microsoft... went to online chat to get some help because I knew there
wasn't any problems with my card... and oddly, the answer was "your problem is that you have a pre paid credit card, you must have a proper credit card, do you have one?"... and I don't understand WHY I'm less important to microsoft because I don't have a
credit card??????? he also said that "some games you can buy with this card but NOT a gold" WHY?????????????????????????????? is that GOLD not a service? I DO pay for it and I can not believe that I'm "no good" for the company!!!

Here in Brazil the interest for credit cards are absurd so, often people are CHOOSING to have pre paid CREDIT cards (the name is credit card)... Am I treated as "poor" because I don't own a credit card????? so, subscription GOLD is a VIP thing??????? I don't
accept that... I pay for every renew of the subscription because I believe in that is the best thing to do... while many... many people buy their xbox "open", or "unblocked".. I've tried to pay mine with a chosen pre paid credit card and is not valid???????????
BECAUSE is pre paid?? I'm not sure this is even legal!!!

I hope you could think about it and maybe (hope)to change this stupid policy, to choose between people with "credit" ou "pre paid" credit cards.

Prepaid credit cards are worse you do realize they charge you more in service fees then what's you are saving

Like 1-2 dollars per transaction

Real credit cards are good as long as you dont get into a habit of carrying balances that's also how you build your credit

And it's not just ms

Most services won't accept Prepaid credit cards for a reason

The enormous fees they charge the users plus thone credit cards don't like reoccurring purchases or online transactions its not the service that's the issue it is the type of card you are using

Where a real credit card don't have those issues

Prepaid credit card are for once in a while purchases not a full replacement for everyday purchases

 

Most likely it's an issue with your card call the company that hosts it and make.sure they allow reoccurring purchases from ms

 

What it actually comes down to for Microsoft is that the prepaid credit cards typically have a bank address attached to them rather than your address. Because of this, Microsoft doesn't accept them. The payment method must be able to match your address/region.
