Am I crazy?

Ive been a longtime gamer on the "other box" and just recently bought an XBONE specifically for the Forza series. Am I crazy to shell out that kinda cash for one franchise? Ive really enjoyed what Ive played of FH and FM6 so far and have also preordered
the ultimate edition of FH3. Nothing outside of Sunset Overdrive has peaked my interest so far, what should I look into? (games not on the "other box"). What upcoming exclusives should I keep an eye out for? Thanks in advance.

As for Exclusives, sorry but I'm the wrong person to try and answer that. You have Gears of Halo 19 coming out soon. I'm sure others will be in here to fill in the 3rd Party Multiplatform Games soon as well. There was ReCore as of recent but honestly I would
wait for it to become a Game with Gold Title and get it for rent, err "free".

If you like a game series that much then you're not crazy. I'll buy a PS4 once God of War comes out. I'll literally be buying it for 1 game.

Since you have the One you might as well check out the free games in the store. There are quite a few there. Recently I've been playing Prominence Poker and it's very good.

 

I bought my OG Xbox for 1 series, Halo. My 360 was bought for 1 series (Halo) with the prospect of interest in a few other games. I never cared what anyone else thought of my decision... they don't have to be happy with it, I do. So I ask you... do you feel

Your not crazy at all. I bought a PS3 just to play the Uncharted games and The Last of Us(amazing) but everything else is done on my Xbox consoles. A couple games you can't find with the other guys you should def give a try is Ryse(which is one of my favorites)
and the now backwards compatible Alan Wake. Both of those should be under the $20 price range by now and awesome.

I've played on XBox since the original.

Never had a Playstation.

Picked up a PS 4 recently because I've only gamed on XBox then the console is cheaper because I didn't get it at launch and many of the games are a lot cheaper too.

So re-mastered exclusives are a great little addition to be able to take advantage of.

This goes both ways so you might just find that there's more than just the Forza series to entertain yourself with.

 

If you're spending money on a hobby that gives you enjoyment than you're doing it right! =)

You may actually be crazy in other ways though because I don't know you from a bar of soap, hehe.

Speaking of remasters, you can't go past the Master Chief Collection - going for a song these days - and there's always the extremely playable (and platform-exclusive) Quantum Break. Despite a final boss that has you climbing the walls (ugh!), I still managed
to hundred-percent the game.

Speaking of exclusives, the remastered editions of Dead Rising 1 & 2 (and 4 in a year's time) may be PlayStation-bound, but Dead Rising 3 still belongs to us! Yay us!! Er, nay us, because it's apparently the weakest instalment. Not that I've played it (despite
owning it). #pileofshame

I guess if you really love a game, you are willing to do stuff for it which others may not. Take me for example. I shelled out NZ$2500 on my 1st custom desktop PC so that I could enjoy the few PC games I have running on maxed out settings in 1080p with smooth
frame rate. Because my laptop which has a 6th gen i5 processor wasn't powerful enough to run very demanding games without struggling frame rates. Games I have on my PC include Planet Coaster, Final Fantasy XIII (hardly play but better resolution than Xbox
360), Cities Skylines, The Sims 4, and Recore through Xbox Play Anywhere.

I will also get Forza Horizon 3 day one too. But Xbox I'd say is the best console to be with. Microsoft acquired Skype and Minecraft. Screamride and Zoo Tycoon and Kinect Sports Rivals are not found on the competition's console. Did you get the slim console
or original console? Since Xbox Scorpio which will be far more powerful (GDDR5 at 320Gb/s bandwidth instead of DDR3 at 68Gb/s) is coming out next year........ , a bit late to the party, but I hope you enjoy your gaming

I've on more than one occasion got a console for just one game. The bonus is by looking at other games the chances are you will find other games that you will also find a lot of fun. Sometimes more fun than the game/series you got the console for in the
first place.

 

Never ask in a xbox forum if you are crazy for purchasing a box for a specific game. We love the system and there is never no right or wrong when going XBOX!!!! Lol
