Am I banned on gears 3 ?

no problem here im on black ops 2 of course and im able to search for online games

Is there a way for you to try another 360 backwards compatible game for us to check if we will have the same error or not? Just to isolate the issue further.

Thank you for the update. The error that you're getting is due to your account settings or subscription, since you have confirmed that your subscription is active we will then remove and re-add your Xbox 360 profile.

Please follow the steps below:

1. Load up an Xbox 360 backward compatible game

2. Press the menu and view button on the controller at the same time to open the Xbox 360 guide

3. Press "X" to sign out of your account

You should see an option labeled as "Download Profile" then press "A" to confirm

4. Enter your Microsoft Account credentials.

Just signed out, deleted & downloaded my account again & still I’m hit with the same message.

It can be your settings or you don't have an active Xbox Live Gold/Xbox Game Pass Ultimate which is required to play an online multiplayer game.

To validate, kindly sign in to https://account.xbox.com/settings and make sure that your setting is allowing you to play online multiplaer.

Once confirmed, check if you have an active subscription.

Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide, and then select System > Settings > Account > Subscriptions.

If you don't have one and your brother has one you can check if he have an active subscription and then set his account as Home Xbox so he can share it with you.
