Am I able to use the power cord from the xbox one on a new generation series S console?

I left the power cord to my series S at my dad's house and won't be able to get the cord back for a while, I have a power cord from an Xbox one but don't want to plug it in being afraid it might cause damage. Will it be fine to use the cord or not?

Hi, Kiara.

If you have an Xbox One S or an Xbox One X, you can use its power cord with your new console. The power cord from the original Xbox One would not work with a Series S/X console.

the one that has the external power supply doesn't, but the following cables are common power cables, the power supply is built into the xbox and can be used without problems.

if you have the black xbox one which is the huge one and it has the external power brick then as above no, but any figure 8 power cable will work.

If it's a Xbox One without the power brick then yes,the cord will work just fine.
