Hello, I have been playing Halo 5 since it first came out and some time into the game I started to notice accounts that were very low in Gamerscore and Friend count. My question is this. Is there a way to verify, unequivocally, that an Xbox live account
playing Halo 5 Guardians or other game is an ALT account that is being used to get a higher rank in ranked playlists? If there is, is there also a way to know the main account of whom the ALT account belongs? I am asking so that when my friends and I do comp
matches we can verify if an ALT account is being used so the team we are facing can be accused of pulling better players from another team with proof, ensuring that we are playing only their team and not members of other teams as well.

No. There would be no way for you verify that.

Custom Games are used for most matches against other teams as you are not likely to match the team you want in the matchmaking.

Is it common for other teams to join up and play single teams together like that in Halo? You could switch to using Gamebattles for competitive matches and just set up custom matches there.

There's not really any way to verify that in any game on any platform unless the games are being played in person.
