Altec Lansing VS3251 remote code for Xbox One

    Hello,

I am trying to setup my Xbox One to control my TV, tuner, and sound system. I have the TV and tuner figured out, but I cannot get the XBOX one to work with turning on and off, as well as controlling the volume with my Altec Lansing VS3251 sound system. The
Xbox One does not recognize the model number, so I found some IR codes online for Altec Lansing products and tried those. No success. Is there a definitive list of codes that the Xbox One uses, or what products work with the Xbox One? Or does someone have
a clue as to what code will work with my sound system?

    Thanks in advance.

    :)

    Logitech Z906 Support Request

I have already read through this thread and see that the
    remote code lookup page
    reads the same thing.

Unfortunately the Xbox One remote will not control the volume of my Z906 set-up. The original remote for the Z906 works, the Xbox One remote works (there's nothing wrong with either of them) - it's just that the remote code given for the Z906 does not work.

Is there a different code I could use? I'd just like to control the volume with the Xbox One remote.

    Any news on headphones ?

Myabe you're able to afford multiple ehadsets whereas most consdole gamers like myself simply can't. Besdies, iIlove my halo 4 WarHead (even though the right speaker is slightly faulty on boot-up but nothing a needed reboot or
2 can't fix), the matching XBox 360, too. Also, no offense, but I ain't touching Turtle Beach because I've often heard their audio is terrible, setting aside that over a decade ago my PC at the time used their drivers. Hoenstly just doesn't compare to what
I have now, my old Altec Lansing speakers ended up getting replaced with a better air, same brand but the model is now outdated, however still works like a beast.

    OTA SOLUTION REVEALED

For my HW-PVR150: I set Mediasonic as my brand of cable box and the initial POWER command failed (as expected), so the Xbox One set the remote code to N2851. I then went to Troubleshoot > Remote Code > Cable Box and tried to enter N4076 as the remote code,
but received the error "The remote code isn't valid".

My xbox one is rejecting the remote code N4076. When I go to trouble shoot and enter the code manually, I get a message saying, "the remote code is invalid". Any solutions?

How do you control Xbox One with a Universal Remote?

You need a universal remote which has the codes specifically for Xbox One. So far only Logitech Harmony remotes do.

Sony STR-DE635 AV Receiver With Xbox One

I DID, in fact, get this to work. Here is what I did.

    1. I googled (or Binged :) ) "Sony STR-DE635 Remote Codes". A lot of results said that remote codes for my receiver do not exist. That seemed unlikely, because my Logitech Harmony remote works fine with my receiver. I did not let that deter me. :)
    2. I called Xbox support where I learned the remote codes Xbox One uses are, in fact, the SAME remote codes used by universal remotes that have been around for years. I learned that these codes are pretty much standard in the industry - meaning the same codes
work with all remotes that can support them. Interesting.
    3. After learning all that, I next did a search for something like "Sony Universal Remote Codes". This returned some user manuals for universal remotes that contained sections for Sony receivers.
    4. I began entering the 4-digit codes into the A/V receiver section of the One Guide device settings from one of the PDF files. None of those worked.
    5. On the second users manual I opened, the very first Sony receiver code worked!
Now "Xbox on" turns on my Samsung TV, my Motorola DVR, and my Sony receiver. "Xbox volume up (and down)" changes the volume, and "Xbox mute" works as well.
I should also mention that the codes for my TV and DVR all have a one-letter, 4-digit format. However, when I was entered the Sony receiver codes one by one, I only entered the 4 digits in the universal remote manuals I found during my internet search.
So in MY case, no letters were needed in the receiver code that worked.
    I hope this helps someone.
