It's possible to have an ill-informed opinion or an educated/informed one. An example of the former is "I don't like the Kinect on the Xbox One because I think the Kinect on the Xbox 360 was terrible." An example of the latter is "I don't like the Kinect
on the Xbox One because I've tried it (on the Xbox One) and it just isn't for me." Do you see how that works? Although you have a right to your opinion, it's important that that opinion be an educated/informed one rather than an ill-informed one. By using
ill-informed opinions, ignorance can spread, & that's NEVER a good thing. Just my 2 cents...

Its been a good discussion so far over on the ps4 forums about the resolution its still early days yet and hopefully microsoft will start getting games out in 1080p soon enough,

 

I can't quite grasp why they don't understand that PS4 is not a more powerful Xbox. It's not an Xbox at all. They say -"Why not have all these multi-plats on PS4? Have your cake and eat it" But they don't seem to understand why I chose Xbox in the first
place. If they did, they would know why that doesn't appeal.

 

@GG - Well I don't have to own something to know it has problems or isn't what I want, but maybe I'm more logical than some. : p

Why do people shop around GG?

Like for instance, if I was going to buy a new vacuum cleaner, which scenario makes more sense to you?

A. Read some online reviews, check with Consumer Reports and then make a decision.

B. Buy 40 new vacuums of each brand because I need to actually OWN them to know which one is right for me.

 

There's a small flaw in your argument BizarroMantis - both A & B are informed opinions.

Besides, did I ever say you have to own the console? No, I didn't - although I do think it helps a lot when forming an opinion that is an informed one, it isn't necessary.

 

Well I tried to edit, but I guess one only has 15 seconds to do so. But even so, trying out all 40 vacuums would be almost as dumb.

 

The power argument dosent interest me, i owned the ps3 and xbox 360 last gen and the ps3 had more power and i enjoyed my gaming experience more on the 360 and xbox live. I also own both this gen aswell.

@GG I think someone can very easily make an informed decision about the One Kinect having only owned the 360 version.

I purchased the 360 Kinect based on all the hype and promised developer support, needless to say it didn't live up to expectations. I purchased the One not expecting the Kinect 2.0 to ever be a huge innovation in the gaming world based on the my experience
with the 360 version and how it was supported last gen.

I think the people that are complaining about the One bundling a Kinect with it are making an informed decision if they are basing it on the facts of the 360 Kinect. What's changed that could convince anyone that the new version is going to offer us more
down the road?

I own both Kinects and from a gaming perspective nothing has changed so the person who says they don't like the One Kinect because they didn't like the 360 Kinect is making a statement that in my opinion is very valid. You don't need to own it or have used
to see what it has to offer.

 

Testing out 40 vacuums? That job would suck.
