    Hello. I have bought RDR on 360 years ago, but when it finally comes to BC for the Xbox One, I still have to pay for it? Why isn't the game free for already owners like most of the BC titles?

    Already said, but Red Dead Redemption is already HD. Thus I already own it.

    Did you buy the digital version of RDR? If so, are you on the same Xbox/Microsoft account you used to purchase RDR?

    I'm using the same account I used for the 360 from day one. I never bought the digital version of RDR because I owned the disc. I'm not sure why I can't play it on Xbox One for free given I've had the game already?

    You should be able to go ahead and install your RDR disc on your Xbox One without a problem.

    That game has been added to the Backward Compatibility list a week or two ago. Backward compatibility is not limited to digital versions of the 360 games, if that's what you're thinking.

    You should be able to go ahead and install your RDR disc on your Xbox One without a problem.

    That game has been added to the Backward Compatibility list a week or two ago. Backward compatibility is not limited to digital versions of the 360 games, if that's what you're thinking.

    Firstly, the retail full version of Red Dead Redemption 2 on disc already includes Red Dead Online so unless you have transitioned to a digital only console, you wouldn't need to purchase it again.
    Secondly, which digital version did you purchase? There is the full game Red Dead Redemption 2. There is also Red Dead Online, which is obviously the online part. And then there is Red Dead Redemption 2: Story Mode, which is just a DLC for Red Dead Online (owning Red Dead Online is required) which allows you to play the single player campaign.
    Please check your purchase history to see which one you have purchased.
