    Alphajax allowing words that do not exist


    Can someone explain why Alphajax are allowing words such as "amazedv" and "nn" and yet refuse words such as "cru" which I try to play?

    *** not allowed in AlphaJax

    The word *** cannot be used on AlphaJax because it is deemed as hateful? The word has many different meanings and if you (the production team or whomever makes these decisions) give precedence to the derogatory definition then it is
    you who are being hateful. What if I was to tell you that I am gay and you not allowing that word offends me? I for one will find another word game to play!

    Can't play words backwards/up?

    Hi Entegy-

    If you use the last letters of your word you place to overlap the existing words you can build up and to the left.

    That's definitely part of the strategy of AlphaJax!

    And I've just discovered that 'dux' is not allowed. Why ever not????? In my part of the English speaking world, the top student in the school is the dux. Wiktionary agrees with this definition. Why does alphajax reject this word?

    hi Funkdog- Alphajax uses The Enhanced North American Benchmark Lexicon (ENABLE): Originally released in 1997 and updated in 2000. This list has been in the Public Domain since its release. Visit the site where the word list resides.

    AlphaJax at their discretion have added more words and more words will continue to be added in the future both proactively and upon request by the AlphaJax community.
