So first of all I have to say that the quality and experience is far superior than using the Twitch app because I can change different volume settings on the fly which is awesome.

I only have some problems with it right now.

Selecting the option often causes the guide menu to load for a long time and I can't do anything else with it until it's done (~1 minute waiting time max so far) and I sometimes have to select it again because it goes back to the landing page of the guide menu. This does not happen while streaming.

The point where it shows the current name of the livestream is a really bad machine translation using the german language on Xbox. It's "Datenstromname" which translates to data flow name and is just weird. It should be "Livestream Titel" as it does anywhere else on streaming websites in Germany so it makes sense.

The third word under the last option on the main page of the new streaming feature is only half visible. Only the top half of the word is visible.

This is the biggest issue I have with this feature right now. It does not remember the streaming quality I choose last time and it feels like it forgets it directly after closing out of the new feature back to the main guide landing page. This lead to me streaming in 720p while thinking it was still 1080p at 6500.

And I have one suggestion that basically anyone would want with only one screen streaming setups.

Please make it so we can see the chat on Xbox like we can see it when people use the party chat overlay. That would help a lot and would eliminate to look away from the TV all the time to a smartphone, laptop and so on somewhere else in the room. It ruins part of the fun of streaming and makes it much more difficult to play and enjoy the game you stream.

Uh and a second one would be the option to make the status bar smaller or more transparent somewhat like we already can do with the achievements tracker so it won't cover important things. Some games need you to have visibility to all of the present positions of it.

To emphasise; this is a new problem. I've streamed hundreds of hours of gaming with this exact set up and as far as I can tell nothing has changed from my perspective. Unless there had been an update to either the app or the Xbox?

Since you say you are in Alpha Skip Ahead, and that issue happened just now, please file feedback via the Xbox Insider App, and check the

Xbox Insider Reddit if others have similar issues.

It might be an issue introduced in a Skip Ahead version. So please inform the team of your issue via the Feedback option and through the Insider Reddit.

EDIT: It seems that other
Alpha and Alpha Skip Ahead Users have the same issue. So it's not an issue with your setup, but a bug that was introduced in this Alpha/Skip Ahead.

You'll just have to wait until that issue gets resolved, and remember to file feedback!

There is only a limited number of free slots in Alpha/Alpha Skip Ahead.

If someone in Alpha/Alpha Skip Ahead leaves, or is removed due to inactivity, participants in Beta are invited to Alpha. However, Beta participant invitations are sent out to those, that leave valuable feedback, find bugs, and are most active in the beta
group.

So it's not how long you are in the program, but how valuable your input and bug reporting was in the past.

Added to the fact that invitations are only sent out if there is new room in Alpha, you might have to wait a while to get invited. Just provide good feedback and be patient.

From what has been said in the past Snap will not be making a return.

Xbox Users can stream to Twitch you just need to open the game/app and start a broadcast.

It is down to the Developers of the Youtube app to implement streaming.

The level and time you spend in the program doesn't count for access to the Alpha group.

There is only a limited space for Alpha participants. If an existing Alpha participant leaves the Alpha group, or gets removed due to inactivity, Beta participants with a good activity record get an invitation.

It depends on the activity, and the quality of the feedback you sent while in the Beta ring if you get an invitation.

So there are two factors for getting an invitation.

You can't influence the first factor: Free space in the Alpha group. You will have to be patient and wait for someone to leave or be removed due to inactivity.

But the second factor, sending quality feedback and participating in the quests, will raise your chance to get an invitation in case a slot in the Alpha group becomes free.

So don't give up. Continue to give good feedback, and have patience.
