Thanks, well maybe I'll keep my fingers crossed, and see if I can find a deal after Christmas. I'll have to see if I can use my monitor.

All 360 games run in HD, regardless of what TV they are connected to The 360 will scale them to fit your screen, but this may not give the best picture. This scaling can cause problems with games that contain text. Unfortunately, this is the way the developers
made their games, they are optimised for HD displays. I know this is not what you want to hear but there is no way to remedy the problem other than to invest in a better screen. The PS3 also has the same problem when hooked up to a SDTV.

If you can't afford an HDTV, you can use almost any PC display with the exception of laptop screens for your console. This will provide an HD screen display and allow to read the text again.
