Almost Brand New Xbox One Controller will not turn on!

My Xbox One controller that I opened on Christmas Day will not turn on! It started *** up though on January, 11th. I then bought a Samsung charger and it's been fine since then! Now it won't turn on period with any batteries and if the charger is plugged
in then the controller will shine bright and just kind of dim and then shine until the charger is removed. I can't use it at all! I even bought a new Samsung charger and my controller still doesn't work! What's wrong with it? Remember, this is almost a brand
new controller!

Also, forgot to mention that the controller gets really hot around the d-pad when the charger is plugged in.

Wireless controller - Brand new battery pack doesn't work.

One of my Xbox 360 controllers was missing a battery pack, so I bought a brand new one. However, when I put the brand new battery pack in the controller, the controller doesn't turn on. I've tried it with both disposable batteries and rechargeable batteries.

Strangely, the controller does turn on when I use the battery pack from my other controller.

Conversely, when I put the brand new pack into the other controller, that doesn't turn on either.

Any help with this issue? I feel like I wasted my money and I feel like at this point the only way to get the controller working again is to use those sketchy "turn on controller without a battery pack" tricks on Youtube (such as wedging aluminum foil or
pennies at the top).

 

controller won't turn on console

I've had my xbox one since Monday. But as of yesterday the controller will not turn on the xbox when i push the white button. It will flash like it's going to power on the system but will then stop flashing and turn off. Once I manually power on the Xbox
one and turn on the controller it works fine. The functionality of the controller is fine, nothing wrong with that. Before yesterday it would turn on the console fine. any suggestions? Batteries are brand new. The controller is synched to the box.

 

Sounds like you may have damaged your controller my using an unauthorized device. I did a quick search on the net and found almost immediately others talking about how this method has damaged other controllers. You should probably just replace the controller
since the warranty will probably be void. Others may have additional information. Good Luck!

 

After reading several other posts it appears others have done it successfully but did not indicate how long they had been using it in this manner. Personally, I would be very skeptical about using unauthorized devices. Just my opinion.

You may try contacting phone support and see what they tell you 800-469-9269.

 

I've been using the charger for about a month and basically what happened was I wanted to plug in another controller to my xbox so I plugged in my second controller. Once the plugged it that controller and used it for an hour I then went back to my regular
new controller and it wouldn't work!

 

My suggestion remains the same and as it seems no one else here has any better suggestions it must not be being used a lot by the users in the forums. Good Luck!
