    Allow game chat when streaming and recording videos!


    Nowadays most popular games are cross platform therefore having everyone in party chat is not possible. Make a feature where you can opt out from sharing your game chat (like a parental control feature for children). It would be very helpful and similar to PS5. I just don’t understand why this wasn’t a feature implemented to begin with!

    Sorry, but it is not currently possible to upload console-streamed game videos. When you record a streamed game, the GameDVR video is associated with the Xbox app, not with the streamed game (because the recording feature doesn't know you are streaming or
    what you are streaming). Consequently it cannot be uploaded (Xbox Live knows that the Xbox app is not a game).

    The issue is because recording people in game chat is a invasion of privacy. It is a legal matter not a money matter.

    Recording someone without their permission is not allowed in some areas.

    The inbuilt streaming feature is meant for starting out or for fun usage not for serious streaming/professional usage.

    If you are using party chat however the people in your party can OPT in to be heard by the stream.

    That isnt true Ive made videos while in game chat that included voice chat of my teammates and people i have killed in Cod warzone

    My friend just recorded a clip that allowed him to hear in game voice chat

    You can't connect the Xbox 360 to the Xbox App. Only the Xbox One can stream to the Xbox App.

    Long explanation:

    The Xbox One has specifically resources reserved to record or stream the console's video output, so you can stream to Beam or Twitch, or record your Gameplay.

    The Xbox 360 does not have these resources. And since compressing and streaming video requires a lot of CPU power, and the Xbox 360 is uses nearly 98% CPU resources for rendering games (the rest is used for Guide, Parties and background music), the Xbox
    360 also can't get an update to allow game streaming.

    In short: It's not possible to connect the Xbox App to the 360.

    If you are streaming games from your Xbox to your laptop, then recording videos is disabled. The only way to do it, is when playing on Xbox only.
