    allm not working correctly with Marantz nr1711 (hdmi 2.1 receiver). Delta ring


    Picked up an marantz nr1711 to replace an marantz nr1607. This is hooked up to LG C9 and xbox one x. ALLM mode is not working correctly now with nr1711. LG instance game response will now come on when turning on the xbox, going to video apps and does not come up when going to non hdr game. When connected to nr1607, game mode would only come on going to games. I also get a lot of blank screens for a second or two. Is anyone else having these issues with 2020 receivers and xbox one. I have tried resets and new cables.

    Hi thanks I have played with this for sometime, There is a green check mark by ALLM. ALLM is supported by a 2.0. 2.1 hdmi only exception is no 60@120hz.

    HDR10 is also has a green check without a 2.1 input there are no limitations as my input during game indicate HDR10 is working. I can do this by checking my inputrs throught TV settings (Auto select for 2.0 enables ALLM Feature on My TV). Dolby Vision for games does not work when ALLM is enabled.

    Everything is green on 4K EXCEPT for 120hz because of the lack of 2.1 port. When I turn off ALLM through XBOX setting Dolby vision works.

    Hello,

    VRR is supported via HDMI 2.1. The Xbox One X is the only console that has HDMI 2.1. Xbox One S has HDMI 2.0. This Fall 2020 the new Xbox Series X will also support HDMI 2.1 features like VRR, Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM) and up to 120fps support.

    Unless your going to fork over 1000s of dollars to get 1 of the 5 manufacturers that have 2.1. Dolby vision will not work with ALLM.

    Performance of hdr10 is not relevant nor is ALLM.

    Dolby vision does not work with ALLM. This is confirmed that this is by design. You choose between the higher fidelity of Dolby vision over Game mode ALLM.

    Yes, I have tried using eARC to loop the audio signal back into the receiver. And I still get the same result,

    I would eventually lose audio. I do use HDMI 2.1 cable (2M).

    To Recap v2:

    Older Samsung TV and older Marantz SR7012 A/V receiver, new 8K HDMI Cables-Result-AUDIO LOSS

    NEW LG OLED C2 TV and new Denon x4700H A/V receiver, newer 8K HDMI Cables-Result-AUDIO LOSS

    eARC on both TV sets have been attempted and still have the same audio issues. HDMI 2.1 8K cables used

    XBOX Series X multiple times Factory reset but kept games and apps.

    Xbox One X connectivity to my Monitor

    Xbox One X supports 1440P and 120Hz or 4K and
    60Hz. By attaching HDMI 2.1 or 2K@120 via HDMI 2.0. The cable will output just 1440P@120Hz only, in the end, this is a monitor that most suitable for PCs. Check the Video Output settings and tweak it accordingly. Your monitor, unfortunately, doesn't support
    ALLM or VRR.
