ALL XBOX360 backwards compatibility DVD's are unreadable on XBOX One X!

I can play all Xbox One DVD Games. They readable and works fine! The digital XBOX360 Games works fine too.

But since a few days, downgrade Xbox360 Games with DVD were unreadable and brings error message.

I have testet more than 5 other XBOX360 DVD Games now and these was also unreadable! What have MS change in den System Software. This is not funny. Hearty Greetings JimmyDG

Backward compatibility problem

Hi! I have some problem with backward compatibility. My achievement from Xbox 360 are not displayed on Xbox one ( when I play game for Xbox360 on Xbox one.)I get achievement while I playing with backward compatibility,but they not displayed on my 'G score'.
It's spoil all my joy about games. Please fix it

But I know this support link and it is not a cleaning problem of DVD's. I'm playing games with DVD on Xbox console since MS released their first Console and I have in the moment 5 active consoles in my home. You believe me, it is not a user problem or a
dirty dvd. ;-)

The message is the same standard message when a dvd is unreadable

it is the same Error Message you get when you start a digital XBOX360 game and the system check the original dvd in your device if you an owner of this game. This message is in German and says I should put the Game DVD into the console which I buy it or
logged in to XBOX Live or I should download the content in the xbox store. Buy the way, you know too that all downgrade games should downloaded after identification of the original game dvd! All downgrade XBOX360 Games I have are still as a digital version
on my hard drive, because I have download it in the past with the readable dvd and identification. But now no-one of these original dvd is readable. That's mystics. Does it? )

That's the "do you own this game or app" common message.

Solutions:

1. Turn off your console and unplug it for 30 seconds.

2. Remove and redownload your profile:

3. Factory reset your console keeping games and apps (removes your profile as well): Settings > System > Console Info & Updates > Reset console > "keep games and apps".

If you get this problem with discs you should first try #1 and then see this page for disc troubleshooting:

Really! You think it is a Profil Identification problem I have?

 

Digital games are connected to your profile, if you have issues with digital games that could fix the problem.

But if they are disc games, either the disc is bad or dirty or your disc drive is bad.

Most of the time people fix this problem with turning off and unplugging for 30 seconds or the factory reset keeping games and apps.

 

Report:

1) Turn off your console and unplug it for 30 seconds. --> No fixed, same Problem

2) Remove and redownload your profile --> No fixed, same Problem

3) Factory reset your console keeping games and apps --> No fixed, same Problem (get update in the Factory reset process)

test DVD's after these 3 steps above

First, by "downgrade" what do you mean? "download"?

Also, if you own these digital games, see here to make sure you're on the right account:

https://account.microsoft.com/billing/orders#/ Check to make sure you own the games digitally.

If you do own the digital games and are using a disc, you don't need the disc in to play if you bought it digitally.

If you own it on disc and are using the disc to play (after you install it as required) and you get this problem, your disc drive may need to be replaced by a repair if you've tried everything on this troubleshooting page:

If these games are all disc games that you have installed and they give you this error your console will need to be repaired.

Downgrade means that this are 360 Games, which possible to play on Xbox one!

May I point some things out.

Xbox one games on disc are stored on Blu-ray discs. Only the Xbox 360 and the original Xbox use the 'DVD' format.

What difference does this make?

All Blu-ray drives can read DVD discs as well as BD discs, but the laser diode to read DVD discs work at a different frequency to Blu-ray. As I understand it, these diodes are contained in the same package in the drive.

If a hardware fault occurs with the drive, it may manifest with ability to still read BD discs but not DVD, or the other way round.

If your console can't Xbox 360 games, but can read Xbox One games, it usually means the drive is faulty.

Your technical explain makes sense to me and I will contact Xbox (MS) to ask for an solution of this.

Hardware problem with a 3 month old Console is not a good sign for the stable function in the future.
