    Hi,

    I got a problem where all of my games downloaded from the Xbox Game Pass have permission issues in which I can't edit any of them as seen in my image attached (no edit feature) and have an error saying "This Access Control entry is corrupt" when I want to add in permission entry. I stumbled upon this problem when I wanted to create a profile using Logitech GHub for Snowrunner to tweak my G923 steering wheels configuration as it says I don't have permission to open this file (even though I'm the admin). I'm positive this is only affected by Xbox games I downloaded because other games such as F1 2022 (access through Xbox app but downloaded through EA, all permission and access seem to be fine).

    I've already tried updating all necessary systems (Microsoft App, Windows, etc.) following the guide from Xbox Game Pass access denied "you may not have appropriate - Microsoft Community and did SFC scan for errors How to Fix 'Access Control Entry is Corrupt' Error on Windows? (appuals.com) but nothing seems to be helping in which I assume this problem is solely on Xbox games issues.

    Xbox App & Permissions (7 Days to Die)

    All permissions related to any Xbox App-based games can't be edited. The official Xbox App does not allow you to change any permissions yourself. No permissions to edit anything related to it, or the game in question, in the registry either.

    I have used "take ownership" before on an Xbox App game with disastrous results. It seems that the Xbox App's permissions are so locked down that I am not allowed to touch anything, even when it is stopping me from launching the game.

    In conclusion, I should've spent my gamepass money on Steam instead T-T

    I don't think its an issue on your end. It seems several people (ie everyone) is having this issue at the moment. The general consensus seems to be that it could be an issue with permissions related to gamepass not giving the right permission for xbox 360 but its unknown. From what I can tell people are saying to just wait and hope it comes back up but people have brought it up a lot so hopefully it will get noticed by MS and fixed.

    they decided to do it this way as it is their way of drm.

    you should not have to be reformatting everytime, and you can have games spread across multiple drives, i never had an issue with this kind of thing up until i ditched gamepass.

    i have several games installed across drives with no issues.

    are your drives in ntfs, have you changed any permissions on any of the windowapps folders.

    Hello there!

    Regarding the issue that you have and since all your games do not have any issue with permission, it should not be your suspensions that are causing this. Please try first checking the game support page, so that they can help you get the correct permissions in order to play the game.

    Found a fix! Went into xbox gamepass app settings and enabled offline permissions, not sure why this changed anything but works perfectly now!
