    All USB ports on Xbox One not responding


    I previously had a USB external hard drive for my Xbox One and it worked great. One day, I noticed it wasn’t working anymore and I can’t figure out why. I have tried all of the ports and different devices too. I have also done a hard reset several times
    and changed settings with no success. I have read that it is an issue with older models (which I’ve had mine since 2013), but I don’t really have the money to get a new system. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Xbox one gamepad does not responding for sync button and it also not vibrating when i plug in usb. Xbox button flashes and gamepad working. (USB not connecting)

    All three are USB 3.0:

    Then again, that page needs to be updated as the first note is now no longer true.

    I'm not sure, however, why you would have issues only with the USB ports on the rear.

    Make very sure you're in the right USB port if you have an Xbox One without a dedicated Kinect port (like an Xbox One S or Xbox One X)!

    The Kinect--even though it has a power adapter--needs consistent voltage in its USB connection too, and only the USB port on the Xbox labeled "Kinect" provides it (that's the port closest to the HDMI I believe.) A POWERED USB hub may work too.

    But... plugging the Kinect into one of the other two USB ports--or a non-powered USB hub--will cause problems -- either a warning to plug it in the right port... or intermittent connection issues... or a failure to be detected at all.

    Have you tried more than one USB port for your thumb drive? Try all other USB ports on the console, maybe it's just the one you had things plugged into. On one of my Xboxes, the right USB doesn't work and whenever I plug something into it, all the other
    USB drives fail until I unplug the one that is broken. Let me know if you have tried other USB ports.

    Thanks for responding. We understand this is confusing but we are more than happy to help. If you have an Xbox 360
    Play & Charge Kit:

    1. Make sure that the battery pack is correctly connected to your controller and plugged into one of the console's USB ports.
    If you’re still having the problem where the controller will not turn on, try the following. Check the USB ports on the console:

    1. Plug the charge cable into each USB port on your console, one by one. There are USB ports on the front and back of the console.
    2. If the controller works in one USB port but not another, try another accessory in the USB port that didn’t work with the controller.
