All this wait for this.

I got the codes yesterday. Didn't feel like a new game.. Feels like I was playing one of my old gears game. Yes it was nice and clear and the mechanics was ok but nothing that has me wanting to buy this game. I would just rather play my UE. It would be like
buying maps for $59.99 when it comes out.. I am not sure if its worth it. Plus they had us wait all this time for what? A remake of a game... Get the hell outta here. smh

They always look amazing. I just hope it is not another repackaged over priced multiplayer hack fest with millions of dollars in microtransaction profiteering.

 

And then you get some people on the official forums complaining that its too different from the other gears of wars. Seems no matter what they do they wont be able to keep everyone happy.

 

I feel the same way. As I play the game I find myself almost bored with it after you play the maps once or twice. Yes it is just a beta but I really hope the finished version turn out great.

 

To be honest i've never played a beta I didn't get bored with.

I can think of a few games where i've hated the beta but loved the game when it came out.

Halo 5 is one game. The beta for that nearly put me off buying the game. But the thing i hated in the beta wasn't in the full game.

With GOW4 it wouldn't surprise me if the final game ended up a bit different to the beta

I have seen some of that. Feels very much Gear of War to me. I am not sure what they are talking about. Then again some complain that Gears needs this or that. Same people complain when that is added. Same people complain when they add something else
and then want the game to "Go back to it's roots". And then the game removes some things and goes back to a more original style and they complain about the lack of originality.

As for Gear 4 it has some "Gears" issues that should not be there at this point. Building this from scratch or the ground up should mean that those thing are not carried over but they are.

They also have some common Gears issue with some being invincible or near invincible. Sucks being in matches where a player can take out 3 of use by themselves while taking a direct drop shot and 4-5 gnasher shots. I even saw a teammate hit a player with
2 boom shots in a match like that and have said player take out multiple people.

I hit a player in the head with the full charge Torque Bow. The player dives with the shot sticking out. The shot explodes and the player 1 shot downs me with the gnasher. Then comes over and acts stupid like they are a great player. This kind of thing
does not bother me. But it has already turned off several Gears fans I know. People that own (and have read) all the books, have those full size lancer replicas, and many other collectibles. So that can be a bad thing.

And for some reason I have been put in these matches after people drop lately. Seems like when people get in and they find these players they leave. I get put in those. And end up suffering though those crap matches. I have stayed in and those players
can do whatever and they know it. Either they know they have this advantage, they just think they are that good, or they have found some glitch and are taking advantage of it. On 2 occasions I am positive it was a glitch a teammate was taking advantage of
to become unstoppable so hopefully that is fixed. But this is Gears and you never know.

 

Wow, well.... hopefully everything is fixed because I love the franchise and specially the 4v4 action.

 

ummm you are aware you're playing a beta, right? its not a finished product so i'm assuming the game will look better when it comes out later this year.

 

this game will be worth the wait
