All the sudden no audio from my Xbox one. "Hdmi audio unavailable"

My Xbox one all the sudden shut the sound off. It says "hdmi audio unavailable". I was playing then switch my Tv's source to watch tv while waiting for the new match to switch, came back to no audio. I've restarted, checked cables, and used another hdmi
cable, nothing. Turned the audio off and on from system settings, restarted the Xbox, unplugged it and still nothing. Anyone else having this problem?

:)

no sound screen turns black

all of a sudden I have no audio through surround sound and my screen turns black. Tried bypassing audio receiver and still happens. Could this be a bad Hdmi port on the Xbox one?

Connecting my 360 to a Home Theather
Once the AVR is turned on, the SPDIF Audio stream (Via IC3) & Video Streams (Via MN103SFD7G & Microprocessor M3087BFKBGP are Drawn, Decoded & processed via atleast 3 different processors & outputted via the main Microprocessor
(M3087BFKBGP) for syncing the Processed Audio Stream to the processed Video Stream to the HDMI Output etc..
Yeah... no. Where to start?

IC3 allows for selection of audio input. There are two optical and two coax, an spdif from the HDMI receiver, a DAB Module input, and an analog input from IC1 after feeding it through an A/D converter.

M3087BFKBGP (a basic CPU) has no direct connection to the HDMI receiver or HDMI transmitter chips. It only has a connection to the
HDMI CEC control processort in the event the devices connected over HDMI support CEC.
This is gibberish.
The Silicon Image 9135 and 9134 don't do anything with the HDMI CEC bus. They're not even wired up to it, no do they have to be.
The audio
options do not affect HDCP.
No, that's not how the

YSP-4000
works. There are two Support Audio options. One routes audio to the audio input block (IC3), the other passes the audio through to the HDMI Transmitter. Whatever comes in over HDMI goes to the sound projector for playback or it goes right back
out via HDMI, in exactly the same format it came in as.
Blu-ray and HDMI 1.2 are not bound together. All HDMI 1.2 does is limit the Blu-ray audio to the audio
standards supported by HDMI 1.2
Assuming that's true, it's just for support of HDMI 1.4 features. If a display device doesn't support a feature, the feature won't work.
No. That microprocessor has exactly nothing to do with video or audio output to HDMI.
This might make sense if there
was an AV receiver doing upconversion to QFHD, but there isn't one in this discussion, so no.

Hi DIEVESTATOR,

Sorry you're having issues with your audio. The message you're receiving is likely from your TV or audio receiver. First try a hard reset. With the Xbox on hold the power button until it turns off, then turn it back on and see if it works. My next
suggestion would be to try using stereo uncompressed audio, if you're not already there. See the link below on how to set this in your settings. Next if you're using a receiver, I would suggest bypassing this and plugging directly into your television. If
you're already plugged right in your TV, my next suggestion is to try a different port on your TV.

Confused: HDMI & audio..

One of the differences in switching from component A/V HD to HDMI is that the HDMI cord is all in one display & audio. Meaning the HDMI cord is all you need to get display, and audio from your 360, to your tv.

Audio on both Headset and TV Speakers

FYI, on my original Xbox one
when I plug in a headset into the controller the audio is redirected from the TV/HDMI to Headset and then when unplugged the audio is returned to the TV/HDMI.

S/Pdif to RCA Audio Adapter for Xbox One

Xbox One has 2 outputs - one HDMI and one Optical Audio (s/pdif). HDMI carries both audio and video. But if you want to send your audio to a receiver that does not have HDMI inputs, then you can use the optical output from Xbox One. PS4 is exactly the
same.

And William is right - if you try converting HDMI to DVI, you will lose the audio on both Xbox and PS4 (unless you are using the separate optical output for audio).

XBox One w/ Receiver Setup

My set up will be:

Cable Box HDMI out to Xbox One HDMI IN, Xbox One HDMI out to Receiver HDMI In, Receiver HDMI out to TV HDMI in, Receiver Audio out to Speakers

So the Cable audio/video goes to the Xbox One, Xbox One send that and/or it's audio/video to the Receiver, Receiver sends video to TV and audio to Speakers

It seems like that's what you're describing, so I'm not sure why you think audio is being left out anywhere.
