    All spoken audio is muted


    Hey Xbox and community.

    Problem: all headsets and microphones on my Xbox will not allow player to speak.

    - headsets will hear all in game sounds

    - headsets will hear all in game chat or party chat.

    - mute and unmute functions correctly in party and audio menu

    ****- home screen shows muted symbol, but everywhere else on menus show nothing is muted ****

    Two days ago my audio decided to mute my voice from parties and in game chat.

    How it happened: I walked out of distance from the Xbox and my controller disconnected. When i connected back in, the audio stopped (only my speaking). I’ve gone out of distance many times (food break, taking care of pets, etc) and this has never happened.

    YouTube has not helped me. I’m fully confident and technical in my abilities of having settings correct. This is an Xbox issue.

    Headset Issues (Microsoft Brand)

    Hi Thump, The headset doesn’t know if you’re using your headset just for chat or for all audio, so TV audio is not automatically muted when you’re using the adapter. You must manually adjust your TV audio volume

    Sound issue

    Is your mic connected properly? Is it muted? Is the volume up all the way?

    Have you also checked your audio and mic settings?

    Not really you have to buy a separate mic for audio and thnt you have to buy a chat link just to get party audio just so much extra and if you wanna mute all your audio you have to mute your mic on your headset and then your extra mic.

    Okay, I have it back now.

    I was playing around with the settings trying to get the 50Hz/60Hz display jerking sorted and some of the sound settings default back to dolby 7.1 surround, that I don't have.

    Changed that back to stereo and all is well :)

    I can hear the audio, but for some odd reason there is no center speaker sound. The voice is all pushed to the left and right speakers. I don't have this problem playing Blu-Rays or at other times with the One. It seems to just be in AC4:BF
