They already said the were working on a emulator. They just need the plans to make it work.

The more time goes past the less people will want backward compatibility, personally I bought an XO for new games not old ones, I am even selling my 360 because I just don't play it anymore.

I can't see it happening, I think MS have better things to spend their time on.

I just want Halo 4 released digitally at a low price point. IMO that game was borderline next-gen as it was.

Halo 4 looked really good, no doubt, but I could pick out a few graphical glitches here and there. For example, one only need to look as far as the class abilities on the back of each and every single Spartan's character model to see horrible clipping during
movement.

I don't doubt that's a detail I failed to notice, but I honestly didn't rate the multiplayer in 4, it was predominantly the campaign that seemed to have the superior graphics. And that Metroid helmet aesthetic was very welcome...

Well… backwards compatibility as we know it won't happen on ONE. What they may announce soon is a service similar to Playstation Now. We will see what they say at E3.

Not ready? It was announced at last year's E3 that Playstation Now would be available early next year (2014).

Its May and there is no sign of this service in the foreseeable future. Sounds to me if Sony had a solid grasp on making the existing game catalog available, it would be out already or at least maybe a few games. But nothing.

I can't wait to see how Sony spins this. What Sony says and what Sony does are two different things. Always has been. Always will be.

Maybe they'll just bash Microsoft policies again and the mindless drones will forget all about backwards compatibility.

"But its 1080p @ 60 FPS. And we've got indie titles that no one ever plays." Pfft!

Sonys streaming game service, playstation now, will be in beta form late summer, last I read.

MS has said they are looking into b/c but it will take a while, so of E3 it isn't announced, it still isn't out of the question.

I remember when the 360 came out and there was an uproar about no b/c, I think it was Peter Moore who had to eat his own statement because of it. I personally didn't bother with it besides a few matches of Halo 2, once the 360 games kicked in, I didn't look
back.

however the 360 library is still amazing and worth playing, especially the online games.

The big question would be how would the servers act between 2 consoles. We can't chat or send voice messages to 360, so how would this be with b/c

Personally I have no interest in B/C, I totally appreciate others would love to see it though.

I just wonder though once we get a few more years into the life of these new consoles, when titles like The Division, The Crew ( just a few examples ) have been out and there's talk of sequels to these games, even better XB1 games announced, will as many
still be as interested in B/C? I hope this makes sense lol

I guess it sounds selfish of me but I got a new console, I don't want to play older games, just new ones

That's alot of recoding and publisher rights that need to worked out which isn't worth it for a company in the long run because it will cost more than it will net them unless they go and charge full price for everything again
