Hey there,

Just as a little heads up.... you may want to see why MS/Xbox services are throttling end user connections to the point of stupid.

That's kind of embarrassing. You should probably find a tech to look into your lack of ability to support users needing downloads.

BTW, you can skip all the DNS, network settings blah blah blah. This reading comes from a tech store, from a tech that has been working on computers since about as long as Microsoft has been around. So yes, everything is set up correctly, and more optimized than the jargon you pass along to laymen users.

It's been like this for nearly 3 weeks now when downloading anything from the Xbox network, whether it's on a computer or Console. There is seriously something wrong with your network, or you are throttling users to the point of stupidity. Probably want to fix that.

As an update, it got about half way on this download and then said "Disk Full" which I assure you it's not. It just dropped off to having zero bandwidth for too long. Something is seriously wrong internally with XBox/MS servers, as I can ping the download site and everything seems just fine.

That's actually kind of scary they haven't made an announcement about this yet.

Yep and they just keep trying to say it’s something on my end when I’ve used 3 different Ethernet cables and every other device works fine. The Companies a joke now. I’m trying to play ranked on cod and literally can’t cause my latency shot up from 35 to 70 and I’ll just randomly start lagging.

Hi, I hope you're doing great out there. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regard to your concern.

We just need to refresh your connection between the Xbox console as well as your network connection. Please perform an extended powercycle and reset your network hardware by following the steps below:

1. Unplug the power cable from the back of the router, modem, or gateway for 5 minutes. If you have a router and a modem, unplug the power cable from both devices.

2. Press and hold the Xbox button on your console for 10 seconds or until it turns off then wait for 2 minutes before turning it on again.

3. After 5 minutes, plug the modem or gateway in first, and wait for all the lights to return to their normal state.

4. If you are using a router, plug in the router and wait for all the lights to return to their normal state.
