    Hi

Sorry for my poor english, but i'm French

i have an xbox one X since day one and 3 controllers and one white elite controller...

since a few months i noticed that sometimes ( very randomly ) my white elite controller while i was gaming duddenly start to blink once and the game ask me to press A to continue , like if the controller lost it's onecction to the console for half a second.

i thought at first that the elite controller was faulty , i've sent it to microsoft and they it back to me ( despite saying it was an exchange ) i got the same controller same serial .. and same issue ..

but the weird thing is while the controller was send to the Netherland , i had to use regular xbox one controller, and i noticed that it happenned on each of them

i've reseted the console multiples time, even with deleting all apps and games , because my set up is 2 x 4 TB WD hard drive and a 500 external SSD all connected in each port , so i didn't loose any games cos of course i disconnected all the external drives.

all controllers are up to date, i've tried via wifi or USB, no update found...

so since yesterday i've finally send my xbox one X scorpio for repair cos i thought maybe it was the wifi card... ( and this console have another known issue with Ace Combat 7 where the console shut down nearly each time my plane crash or explode... very
weird but i think it's a software bug and dust inside the console may be the culprit here...

the funny thing is that i just got a brand new xbox one X bought on the microsoft store , updated it and guess what ? same issue..

all i can say is that i was a insiders for a while , but removed my xbox one X from it a few month ago , and it would not explain the fact that the brand new xbox one X that i got yesterday have the same issue..

i can"t believe that this is still an issue , there is plenty of thread online about controller randomly disconnecting...

so i dunno what to do , i wanted to share my experience, cos i have only official batteries , that i charge via USB on another console or device

i'm surrounded by multiples wifi enabled devices, but i can't believe that this should be an issue..

did someone have a magic workaround for this issue..

it's not a big deal cos when it happens , the controller will often cuts the connection 1 to 4 times for a half second, the real pain is that the game in my case monster hunter world thinks the controller is not connected so i have a prompt to press A...
    and i often play online....

I think my case is interesting cos it shows that it is a software bug , maybe all my batteries were kinda corrupted when i was in insider program

maybe i'll buy a brand new battery , but i already got 4 or 5 battery pack ... lol

    PLEASE HELP ME ^^

    Merci beaucoup .

    :)

All of my up to date controllers have the randomly disconnecting for 1 second issue even at full charge . ( weird issue see post )

If the possible solutions listed in the above reply doesnt fix, you can give a try with a

    Factory Reset
. If you cannot fixed by doing all this is exactly as was said above, its a issue in the wireless/bluethooth card and you should send your console to repair.

I have the same issue and even with the controller connected via usb it still disconnects randomly. Do i take it that the issues lie with the xbox itself?

    Hello AngeAlexiel,

Is it possible that you have many other electronic products on your house that can be affecting the wireless from the console?

In the past, I had some disconnections on my gamepad (but it was due to the battery not being properly charged).

From what I'm reading on the internet, it is possible that you had really bad luck and the two Xbox One X you had have the same issue.

Just to discard another possible issue, if you have your gamepad connected via USB, does it disconnect or it never loses connection?

That last question is quite important, because if with the USB connected to the console you get the gamepad disconnected also, the issue may not only lie in the "wireless card" from the console.

Xbox One Controller successfully connected to PC via bluetooth does not work with Windows apps.

I am now having the same issue but with a brand new Elite Series 2 controller. However, this time when I revert the firmware I run into another issue. When playing a game, my controller will randomly disconnect and my FPS drops to 1-5 per second for a couple of seconds. Then I have to go into my bluetooth settings in order to resync the controller. I looked this issue up it seemed to be a common issue in a previous build. So now I have the choice of random disconnects or no functionality at all. That's not okay for a $200 controller. On top of everything, I only updated the elite controller because the A button kept bringing up the game bar and updating was a suggested fix. So no matter what I use, the stock firmware, the newest firmware, or an older firmware, there are issues that make the controller unusable.
