all of my friends randomly appeared offline and i i dont know what to do

I hopped on my xbox wanting to play with some friends so i hop on my game and i go to my friends and everyone is online but when i go to one of my friends profiles its just white so i know its loading but than it says they are offline i go back and reset
my xbox and turn it back on and all of my friends are appearing offline so i look up what to do and i did exactly what it said over 3 times and nothing changed exept that it says 3 friends are online but i go to there profile and it still says they are offline
so i just need help taking care of this so i can play with my friends.

Its a issue with the servers overloading and they are working on fixing it

Its a known issue that's being worked on but thank you for helping bring it to light. Hopefully it's resolved soon. Its likely due to servers overload from COVID19

The same is happening for me, and i have had this issue before. The last time however coincided with an outage in the social section of xbox live services. Either this hasnt been reported up the chain yet, its only affecting a few people, or just started.
The monitors of these forums should see these posts and send it up to the guys who fix it.

even if they appear offline you should still be able to send game and party invites

I would like to appear offline and I know that I can do this by setting "Online Status" to "Blocked". However, my friends can also see my game history and tell that I was online playing a game 5 minutes ago. This kinda defeats the purpose of "appearing"
offline. I know I can set the "Game History" to be blocked but I don't want to do that all the time. I just want to truly "appear" offline sometimes as in completely not have any trace of me being on xbox live that my friends can see. Is this possible?
