All of a sudden my games are opening slowly.

Any more ideas? Also other than Binding of Isaac would you consider start times of around 15 seconds ok for games like Siege or The Outer Worlds?

Here’s what I have recently done.

1) Unplugged my external HDD

2) Performed a full restore

3) Kept EHDD unplugged and installed Binding of Isaac on my Internal HDD

The game still took over 35 seconds usually to start.

I then replugged my EHDD and installed the game on there instead, and kept closing and reopening the game recording the times, getting an average of about 35 seconds, I then did the same with my internal HDD getting an average of 31 seconds.

I then discovered however, Binding of Isaac suddenly stopped picking up the two DLCs I had installed and started starting the vanilla game, which loaded in about 10 seconds, this was the same on both hard drives. I uninstalled and reinstalled the DLCs and
they started picking up again, although the over 30 second start times began resuming.

I now believe it is the DLCs which are making the game load so long, possibly an issue with the Afterbirth+ DLC that was released a couple days ago.

I don’t expect much out of my console, it will be 6 years old soon. However BOI is an under 1GB game and has never usually taken up to 40 seconds to get past the starting thumbnail.
