Thank you for posting in Microsoft Xbox Community. I'm sorry to hear that you are having issues with your Xbox controller. I understand that you're having issues with your Smart TV and console.

As part of our initial troubleshooting, please power cycle your controller: Press and hold the Xbox button for 5-10 seconds until the controller turns off. Wait a few seconds, and then press and hold the Xbox button again to turn the controller back on.

In addition, kindly make sure that you have the latest firmware updates installed:

Connect the controller directly to your console or Windows device using a USB-C cable (or USB to micro-USB cable for Xbox One controllers).

If the controller works properly with a cable connection, continue to the next step.

If your controller turns on when connected with a cable, try updating the controller firmware:

On a Windows PC, you can do this by installing the Xbox Accessories app from the Microsoft Store, and then connecting the controller while the app is open.

On an Xbox console, press the Xbox button to open the guide and then select Profile & system > Settings > Devices & connections > Controllers & headsets. Select “…” under the controller that you're troubleshooting to check the firmware status.

Another tip is to clean your controller

Dust and debris can build up inside the controller and affect the electrical components. You can try cleaning the controller with isopropyl alcohol, cotton buds, and a hair dryer.

If you've updated the firmware, tried to reset the controller but the button is still not working, then your controller needs to be checked on a hardware level. To set up a replacement order or check your controller's warranty status, go to:

I've tried resetting the display. My tv that suddenly wont work is a Samsung and the other is an AWA.

My controller stop working too series x , factory controller . Last night working and today my samsung tv remote control my xbox and the xbox controller no longuer view by the xbox , i use another controller from my other xbox seris s , and this controller work but not the one work last night , i try the little button to match xbox with but nothing , the controller do no longuer view on my xbox series x , can control de series s but can't be view or connect to the series x anymore

I have the same issue:

* the plain Xbox controller (non elite) connects via bluetooth to the TV and is recognised by the Xbox cloud app on my Samsung TV. I can use it to play games using the Samsung Xbox app.

* the brand new Xbox Elite Series 2 controller connects via bluetooth to the TV and is NOT recognised by the Xbox cloud app.

I tried several attempts deleting the pairing, re-pairing. Turn off TV on the power switch. Re-installing the Xbox app on the Samsung TV.

The result is always the same:

* The Xbox Elite Series 2 controller connects successfully to the TV and is shown as Paired and Connected in the Samsung TVs feature where you add external devices.
* But the Xbox app shows the yellow ! exclamation mark and does not recognise the Elite Controller.

I’ve paired my other non Elite standard Xbox controller now vie Bluetooth and USB, which works both.

I also have the exact SAME problem, and I've been searching the web for answers but still no luck. It worked fine one day, then the next day the XBOX 360 stopped working through my Samsung stereo receiver.

It will work plugged straight into HMDI 1 and HMDI 2 of my Vizio TV's... but, in HDMI ports 3 and 4 it says "Not Supported".

On my Toshiba TV the XBOX 360 does not work through any HDMI ports at all.... pretty disheartening that this happened out of the blue and there doesn't seem to be a fix for it. I tried ALL the things listed around the net...the display resets, clearing the
cache...everything.
