    Hi there,

I purchased my Xbox One X 10 days back from Bestbuy, Canada. At first, I bought an Astro A20 wireless headset, which is an Xbox certified product. From the very first day, I faced immense signal dropping issues. It was not periodic, sometimes runs smoothly
for 10 minutes, sometimes keeps dropping 4-5 times in a single minute. I removed all the items nearby which can cause any network disturbance, except for the TV for sure. Tried force restarting, soft restart, everything that I found in the threads, nothing
worked. So I ordered another headphone form Razer, which is Nari Ultimate for the Xbox One. And boom! Same thing once again with even worst outcomes. Not only the signal is getting lost, but also there's a constant cracking noise, like a burning wood-pallet
kind of sound. It acts weird from time to time, sometimes even keeps connecting with the system, sometimes doesn't even connect automatically at all. Both of the headsets' sound quality is also extremely low like I feel like the sounds are incomplete, as if
some notes are missing, feels like 244p audio/video files. I have started to wonder the problem is not with my headphones, as both of them are very expensive and from well-reputed brands, brand new and designed exclusively for Xbox One. I don't know if the
signal processing unit of my Xbox is defected, or all the Xbox one x are really bad in terms of the wireless headset? I have already spent $500 on headphones, I really want to return literally everything right now. I am extremely sensitive about sound quality,
and no matter what I connect it keeps dropping and sounds like radio. I have tried all the restart things, factory reset things and so on. Please help me, anyone, as I don't know what should I do now. I can return the Xbox as its just 14 days of purchase,
but I need to be sure if this a defective case or all the Xbox one x is the same. Cz if its a generic problem there's no point for me to go out of home in this COVID 19 situation and come back with the same product without any replacement. TIA!

    :)

Ok going for it. I tried to chat with them but they don't have the option to chat or call in this issue. Let me email them, that might help. Thanks Quayler!

    Hello Khaled Shahriar

I am sorry to hear your unfortunate experience with your new xbox, however may I ask have you tried charging the headphones battery to maximum before using? If this doesn't improve your product I suggest contacting Xbox support, I will provide a link below
and they will be more than happily to assist. I hope this helps.

Yes, bro, I tried with the Astro as it has a firmware update option. however, the Nari Ultimate has no options to upgrade at all. And I am sitting within 3 feet of the Xbox, still it's happening :(

Can it be because of any hardware issue of my Xbox?

Yes Lilbak, I tried. I changed the settings in all the possible ways. Still the same outcome.

I actually had a friend have a similar issue the other day with a headset and I suggested to him to check his firmware version on his controller since the headset plugs into it and after updating it that solved his problem.

Make sure your headset is plugged into your controller and check if you need an update on your controller.

    1. Press the Xbox button
       to open the guide.
    2. Under System, select Settings.
    3. Under Devices & streaming, select
      Accessories.
    4. On the Xbox Wireless Controller screen, select “” to check the firmware version for your controller.
    5. If it says there’s no update available, your controller is current. If it says “Update,” follow the steps provided.
Good luck and I really hope this can help you out like it did my friend.
